Starwarssky's Completed Build: First Ever Build.

ColinHirosky 1 Build 1 point 2 months ago

just get another one and sli them, that would be crazy fast

Forum Topic "Good hdd for this build"

ColinHirosky 1 Build 1 point 2 months ago

1 ssd is going to fill up fast if u have alot of games, get a wd 1tb blue or a Seagate 2tb barracuda should work great with the ssd

Forum Topic "First build looking for opinions"

ColinHirosky 1 Build 1 point 2 months ago

go for a vega 56 or gtx 1070 or better, 850 watts is overkill go for 650 or 700, and only 1 ssd, if u play alot of games that is going to fill up very fast, get a wd 1tb blue for games or large files

Forum Topic "First time builder - could really use your opinions"

ColinHirosky 1 Build 1 point 2 months ago

go for a rx 580, everything else is fine, yes the mobo and cpu are compatible out of the box, no bios update needed

Forum Topic "Feedback and Expertise wanted"

ColinHirosky 1 Build 1 point 2 months ago

u can overclock the cpu, but go for an r7 1700x or an r71800x, they overclock better everything else is fine

i dont see ur grandma doing hardcore photoshop so i feel like ur pl is overkill, and an unlock able i5? going with the ryzen 3 or 5 apus could be better. and i feel like ur storage options are very overkill, going with 1tb ssd would be fine, i hope ur not expecting ur grandma to be playing gmod with every mod from the steam workshop! This pl is better https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2CvMr6

Forum Topic "Storage decision"

ColinHirosky 1 Build 1 point 3 months ago

windows 10 is 20gb, ull probably have 2-5gb in drivers, and programs and games will depend on what u install

yes they will load much faster if u have them on startup when u boot up ur pc

Forum Topic "Total Immersion - $5,000+"

ColinHirosky 1 Build 1 point 3 months ago

i dont really think 8k is a good option, its not widely used yet and in my experince, i had better gaming performance with ryzen in games because they run cooler than intel's cpus and so I took a 1700x to 4.1 at ease with a hyper 212 cooler. i think this part list could be better https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yCcPGG

Forum Topic "Upgrading cpu"

ColinHirosky 1 Build 2 points 3 months ago

I use premiere pro cs6 and it loves its ram

Forum Topic "Upgrading cpu"

ColinHirosky 1 Build 2 points 3 months ago

the cpu, motherboard, and cpu cooler are fine, but go with 16gbs of ram, better for multitasking and if u are using alot of files in your video editing software.

jonUF02's Completed Build: Affordable 2K Gaming and Editing, with good looks

everything seems fine besides the ram and cpu cooler, get a hyper 212 evo black edition, its half the price but it looks very nice, and 3000mhz ram is useless for intel because intel cpus dont take advantage of fast ram. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H25DYM3/?tag=pcpapi-20
