for the entry level gaming build there is this awesome processor called the intel Pentium G3258 which is unlocked and is a gaming beast (for the price) why have you not used that?

one thing I can say about overclocking if you have patience overclocking becomes really easy just don't do what my friend did when he got his chip he doubled the base clock and added 20 to the multiplyer and his chip went to 11Ghz and completely crashed his system and was lucky I knew how to recover it. this was just after he said "I know how to do it I've seen videos" he let me do everything after that

you can still overclock that chip to 4.6ghz with the stock cooler and temps aren't crazy high

not to burst your bubble or anything but the 860K is technically a dualcore processor. it has 2 module cores and each module has 2 cores in it so its kinda like a dualcore with hyperthreding... but putting all that aside its like an i3 with overclocking and half the price.

nice color/part coordination too.

you can get it to 4.6 no issues on the stock ive even pushed my friends to 4.9 without him knowing 1.475 for 4.9 and 1.325 for 4.6. the temps never go past the 60° for him when gaming but they get into the 80° when at 4.9.

runs perfectly for the original price I paid I get close to 60 fps in all games ive played so far and watchdogs the bad port game runs really well. I have no issues with this buid (well apart from it weighing close to 15kg) I am upgrading to a 280x at Christmas aswell. its also very cool when gaming the cpu gets to 55~ degrees and gpu gets to 48~ degrees.

I could achieve 4.3Ghz but the temps where way to high for me so I got this at the local computer shop its the only one they had (apart from a $150 water cooler) so I picked it up and it was extremely heavy (for a cooler) and was really east to install

on the thermaltake website it can output 460w to 500w at its peak and my whole system is 180w behind that I only use 280 when stressing everything to the max otherwise while gaming I only use 260 at the top.
