Yeah, already mentioned a few times that I can part it out.
Tbh the £1400 was overpriced anyway which is why I cut it. It is negotiable as with most things, my bottom line hasn't changed but initial asking price has which makes it more attractive to buyers. I'm moving out soon so I do need to sell fairly quickly.
Link to build and asking prices: All are negotiable
Thanks, all seems correct bar Mobo (non gaming version) and RAM (its a 2x8GB kit), I'll make changes based on what I want for each part. Much appreciated.
Looking at what I spent on it overall (about £1750 new) you are probably right, I have edited the price to be a bit more reasonable.
Yeah, that's fine. What parts are you after?
Its not 'bad' it was just too much money for what you get, my suggestion at the time (which I still stand by) was that an EVGA G2 was better for the money you paid
Still looking to sell, please comment or message if interested.
I'm near Bristol. I won't give exact details in a public message but if you are nearish I can let you know in a PM, if not I can ship since it has a box but I would be asking you to pay the cost (I would imagine around £6-£10)
Also worth noting that I have 2 1TB SSDs (Sandisk Ultra II) at £140 a piece. Both 1-1.5 yrs old with minimal data written to them and are still well within warranty and even have packaging.
I want at least £220 for the monitor since it is 1440p 144hz and freesync at 27" keyboard wise I have 2. One is an Aorus Thunder K7 with orange backlight and mx reds. The other one is a Thermaltake Poseidon Z RGB Kaith Browns. I want £70 for Aorus or £65 for Ttake.
Still up for sale, am also willing to sell parts.
Nice, my pyro is similar except I use the powerjack. Scout is Stock, pistol, sun on a stick. You never use melee anyway so if you happen to see someone burning give them a quick slap with it and they are probably screwed. Great for taking out a heavy who's just mowed the wm1 pyro on your team
1500hrs. I mostly play Pyro who actually right clicks and Scout even though they are polar opposite classes. I like a good bit of Engie too when I feel like I want to annoy someone with the Gunslinger. You got a main yet or still feeling the game out?
Not badly, I play TF2 alot but that could be run on a 460 at 4k, I've run Doom mid graphics 1440p at 60 which looks pretty good and freesync is nice too just to keep everything clean. Dont expect 60 at 1440p ultra but to me ultra is not needed. Mid is not very noticeably different. That said, I wouldn't have a problem selling the rig without the monitor if you would want to make an offer?
You could but I wouldn't recommend it, at least not in this case.
Probably because simulation software is recourse heavy and needs it
Nice build, I would recommend a Corsair Rmx 550 as a replacement psu and a 1060 or 480 replacement gpu
Ehem, notice how i corrected myself already
Ehh when 8GB becomes useful for 1080p gaming that card would be too weak, may as well get a 480 8GB since it is only $40 or so more
My mistake, it does come in 8GB, I wouldnt bother though, its more than a 480 4GB you dont need 8GB RAM for a 1080p card
The 470 only comes in 2 or 4GB
It WOULD be 320mm however the design of the case means the PCI-E bracket for the card in pushed inside the case a little, I measure 308mm if you include this. So no the Zotac 1080 AMP Extreme! will not fit an alternative would be the ASUS version
Lets try and fix those ugly downvotes
First suggestion is to spin the fans round and rotate the cooler 180 degrees it seems shorter on one side. Or you could rotate iut 90 degrees and exhuast out the top without flippiing the fans. A ribbon doesnt reduce performance and your idea SHOULD work but you need to find a way of supporting the card a bit better as said before, the bracket cant take all the weight of a moderatley sized card
Actually thats the fault of Etherium Miners similar to the Bitcoin miners with the 200 series of AMD cards so they drive up the prices of AMD cards for gamers
Here you are. I got mine on day 1 in the first hour of release and it was 174.99 at the time, its now £40 more.
The new Titan X doesn't 4 way, only dual. So only AMD will 4 way, but if you want it to be high powered you should wait on Vega
Since this is an upgrade the i3 isnt a big deal, if OP had done the CPU to an i5/i7 then people would scream about the GPU. An i5 4460 is probably the most logical next step for this unless you have cash to burn on an i7 or Xeon E3 1230
You should probably change the name of your rig from 'White Power' lol, sounds like Donald Trumps gaming rig. I wonder what video games he would play.....
Pretty cool, interesting CPU choice with that GPU though since you didn't want to spend a too much an i5 it is fair enough. What are your frame rates on various games with that pairing?
Graphic design as well though so the i7 probaby helps
Thats a mobo change too then
Zen is on AM4 socket though isnt it?
Well the mobo isnt compatable with that CPU and the Skylake platform is the newest and best as of right now. The Z170 chipset is for skylake and designed to overclock which requires a K series CPU such as the 6700K or 6600K
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/d4FFtJ Here you go, very quiet, gonna look cool run very fast with an M.2 Drive and all you have to do is slap a GPU in there if you decide you want a gaming build and bang on budget too, I chose the Cooler because intel stock is LOUD and this was an epic cooler for the price, the SSD to get fast boots and HDD for mass storage the Mobo since it is well equipped for the price, CPU for best price to performance as of right now RAM is cheap and nice with room to add another stick later.
If it isnt the MOBO or PSU it could be your plug socket? Also try turning off other electronics in the house
Your thoughts on an AMD CPU were bad thoughts, at least until Zen
Build specs? You may not have enough power to run the PC
It isnt possible with an air cooler anyway since it is moving ambient air through the heatsink which is heating it up.
Moar pics please
Price to performace was way better before though
It shows the EVGA GS as well bottom left under the MOBO 1st pic, maybe its for a friend of OP, he has 2 MOBOs and Cases as well so I would guess he has 2 builds
Wow, dont usually see a dodgy HXi. At least Corsair have a good RMA
That moment he has more cores than you have RAM
Not a true 8 core though, it works as a quad core really.
Pretty cool for a 2012 build though the PSU seems a bit sketchy
They are $1500 each...
Probably since OP didnt have the cash
You will struggle to get an i5 + 480x + 1440p/Ultrawide + SSD for £700
