Even though my board supports non-k overclocking I cannot OC my 6600, did you have to download custom bios?

I would get the 6600k and a nice cooler, really not much more expensive.

I have the same motherboard and it would not boot in 2 & 4 or 1&3 only 1&2 would work.

I cooler seems to run quiet for me so far, only a few heavy gaming sessions under its belt. If I spring for a better cooler i'll probably continue down the rabbit hole and get a 6700k.

I've just tested Rise of the Tomb Raider and got 35-45 FPS on stock HIGH settings.

I've seen it run smoothly on lesser setups so this should be fine.
