Will have a look, thank you for the recommendation.
Have you tried running PUBG by any chance at 1080p on High? Really interested to know average fps.
I have a very similar system i plan to build in the next week or two. Although I'll be buying the Cryorig H7 Quad Lumi CPU cooler, along with 8GB of 2666/3000MHz RAM (16GB is way too expensive here in Aus), the Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX1060 3GB, which comes with RGB and a backplate, and some braided cables by phanteks. Will also buy some halos RGB for the fans.
Just a question, can you link me that 1070 please? I'm building a $1600AUD PC and I really don't want to pay $390 for a 3GB 1060...
From what I've heard, memory speeds can't exceed 2933MHz with Ryzen, so your best bet would be to go with a 1x8GB 2666/2933/3000MHz or 2x4GB of the same respective speeds.
Meshify C it is! Thanks.
I've heard the HDD drive cage is poorly designed, as it would result in metal-on-metal contact between the cage the the hard drive. resulting in vibrational noise. Do you have any experience with this?
Any specific reasons why it's better?
I'd go for the Ryzen 5 1600 and a B350 motherboard. You can overclock to 3.7/3.8GHz stable and will allow you to game and use it for productivity for almost the same price as your intel and mobo combo.
No worries. If you're going purely for gaming then the 8100 should suffice. The 1300X gives you the best of both worlds.
I would pair the Ryzen 3 1300X with a B350 motherboard. Also, you don't have a case specified in parts list?
Generally a less capable CPU like a Ryzen 5 1600/X with a more powerful graphics card like a GTX 1070/1080.
Asus B350-F Gaming Motherboard, has built-in RGB too. Will als be getting a Phanteks LED Strip :)
Bloody gorgeous build. I plan to do a build in this case in the near future but with the 1600, GTX1070 and 16gb of RAM.
I ended up picking up the Phanteks P300. Half the price, and still has the RGB integration and Tempered Glass. Will be picking up some white phanteks fans along with the Halos RGB attachments for each.
Your welcome. Did you manage to find anything suitable?
I've been waiting for a build in the P300 for a while. How would you rate the case overall? By the way, gorgeous build +1. I like how everything fits in snug. How are temps?
A beautiful PC build and the photo quality is impeccable. Just a suggestion, perhaps take off the Thermaltake logos off the fans or put some white stickers over them?
Nice build. Only thing I could recommend is working on cable management so airflow within case is less restrictive and so you can see the internals better.
It could run games like Overwatch/CSGO probably even PUBG with better optimisation quite easily and AAA games on med-low res at 60fps.
No shame in that haha.
I've got this build bookmarked for when I build mine. Going to have same motherboard, GPU, CPU and RAM. Also going to buy a 5-pack of Thermaltake Riing Plus RGB 120mm Fans (2 in the front, 2 up top and 1 in the back). Hoping that light spill through the front mesh would look gorgeous.
After reading that you're not a gamer, I now see why you went for the 1700X and just a 1050ti. Very nice build.
Gorgeous Build +1
I love the case, will be picking one up myself, along with the same RAM. But I'm having second thought about the RGB fans, the NZXT Aer RGB120's. They look a little bulky on the side?
Either way, this is one nice build and will keep coming back to look at this build until I build my own one.
Clean build +1. Planning to buy this case and whack in 4 NZXT AER RGB fans in here. The light spill through the front mesh would look gorgeous don't you reckon?
That's one gorgeous PC, but by God, you're going to develop a hunchback within the first month of using that setup. You also aren't doing your eyes any favours sitting that close to the TV.
Cheers. Great build btw <3
Although the 1600 outshines in multi-core performance and as gaming progresses in to the future, they'll be geared towards that, which means the 1600 is a great future-proofing CPU that'll age much better than the 7600k.
Would love to know if that's the Anthracite grey or the Black? Cheers.
I believe the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv mATX TG touched base on the cooling. The front panel protrudes more than the ATX model and has been confirmed to be better for cooling as high RPM fans won't cause a rebound or as much as a rebound. The case is magnificent although you will have to go with an mATX motherboard.
I guess the "Dark Grey" one that I was looking at is the Black one? At some angles it looks like a dark grey. Cheers
I'd go with a Phanteks P400S TG largely because what you're looking for is what I'm essentially looking for too. You could also go for the S340 Elite, Fractal Define S or the Dark Base Pro 900.
I believe the P400S TG is the winner amongst those 4 cases, largely because of the ease of building in and with all the included features like 2 120mm fans, an LED strip and removable magnetic dust filters and covers for the top ventilation. It truly is superior. It's up to you.
Great build. I'll be building in this case soon but with an 8GB Rx480 and the new 6-core Ryzen Processor. Only complaint I have with this build is that bottom LED strip, I'd probably put it up the top so lighting comes down.
Fantastic build. I'll be building my PC in about 2 months time. Will have an i5-6500 and 6gb 1060 as well. Are the prices in US or AUS? Btw awesome build.
It kind of does to be honest, but hey, what ever tickles your fancy.
Cheers for the build. AUD dollars.
Absolutely stunning man. Others can only dream of what you have. Good work mate.
Love that case and it's what I'm getting at the end of the year for my own personal rig. Only negative i can think of is the desks. Maybe get one nice big white desk? Just my opinion. Otherwise, awesome setup.
That's pretty much my dream build. Love it!
Fantastic Build, but I probably would've gone with the Grey or Silver? That's just me.
That case is just purely amazing. I plan to do a build in it later this year, when I have the money ofcourse :3
CPU Fan is Huuuuge, but a nice build nonetheless.
Sexiest Case on the market.
Can you tell me how you managed to get your CPU and mobo for so cheap? I'm trying to do my first build and the I5-6500 costs as much as your CPU which is much better. (Note: I'm new to PC building). And how is the NZXT Hue+ controlled?
Very nice! My only concern is the case. You have some good looking hardware, Maybe pay a little more and get one with a window? Corsair Carbide 100R and the NZXT S340 are two cheap alternatives.
Thankyou so much for that. Another person above also mentioned the same thing, so it's always good to have clarification where you need it most. I as well wasn't sure about the case. I was hoping to go for the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv Mini-ITX case which i saw for $109 on PcCaseGear, but somehow it's $179 here. I just had the Air 240 as a placeholder there I guess.
Ok cool. Thanks for that.
