It keeps going on sale here and there, is best bang for buck. It specs are similar to ASUS Strix Z370-E and performs same too. It also comes with some really good cable management stuff.

Good motherboard for the price, easy to navigate intuitive UEFI, wifi, 3 M.2 slots, and RGB lighting.

Gaming 5 seems to OC well, Bios isn't as nice as my old Strix board but still does everything I need to.
RGB elements are nice - Fusion software does seem to control the Trident Z memory too.

Love this MOBO. Looks great and does everything I need. has 6 sata connections and 3 m.2 slots. Plenty of fan headers and a RGB header as well (maybe 2, I forget). Over all a great board.

from completed build i7- 8700k Hackintosh, Gaming & Productivity Unite!
I mainly chose this board for Hackintosh reasons. Gigabyte has been known to play very well with MacOS (with some work of course). I chose it over the Gaming 3 because the Gaming 5 has a Display Port and built in Wifi/BT. Gaming 7 seemed unnecessary and it was close to $100 more (5 was on sale and had a mail-in rebate at time of purchase). The amount of features on this board is absurd, for me at least. Again, coming from a mini-ITX build, holy crap I have so much room to build and so many places to put things!

Very good MOBO. but have hist problems, the cooler on top prevent AIO larger coolers to be placed correctly, the RGB is cool but the software could use some love in usability and design and some connectors could be placed near the edges to help cable management, and why put that RGB swapable plate that no one will swap.

Really enjoying this board. The layout is easy to work with. It's packed with features for the price. Not the best BIOS config screen I've ever seen, but it's functional with a good feature set. Would definitely recommend if you want WIFI and front USB-C compatible headers on a motherboard.
For its price, it delivers.

This variant of the Z370 often gets ignored in favor of other models such as the Gaming 7, but there really isn't much a difference; in fact, I'd say that this is actually better than the Gaming 7. The included WiFi is definitely a plus (it was a bit too slow for me but if you don't necessarily care about having fast internet then it's fine). Lighting looks really nice on the Color Cycle setting. Good for Hackintosh builds.

I had to unscrew and take off the "audio boost" plastic cap. There was nothing under it, so it doesn't make sense for it to block the GPU. I like the RGB, and BIOS are easy to navigate.

- BIOS is easy to use, has pretty lights to configure, has WiFi in case I'll ever need it (hopefully never). I haven't tried overclocking on the board but I'll try it some day...
