Went to this headset from a 2 channel logitech headset and the difference is amazing. As well as a huge in-game advantage, listening the music and videos is an amazing experience.

Downside? It was a pain to set up. The box says it is compatible with SteelSeries Engine 3, but the software does not recognise the headset. Upon doing my own research i found that SteelSeries removed compatibility??

I have been using the Logitech G930 wireless mouse for years and comparing the two headsets, the SteelSeries Siberia 800 is better in almost every aspect. The SS 800 has better sound quality and the build quality is top-notch. My old Logitech G930 is lighter though and can be worn for hours, which is not possible with the SS 800. I can feel the headband's strong clamping force after wearing it for long periods.

Update: The headband did loosen up after a few weeks of use.

Way overpriced! They are Ok headsets and are not more valuable than comparable $100 wireless headphone in terms of audio quality. The extra battery and the minimal latency is where the extra value comes into play but IMO its still not worth the $300 price tag that they are selling for currently. Keep an eye on them and pick one up when it goes on sale, otherwise look elsewhere and save some money. If money is not a factor then spend the same amount of money on another headset that offers better sound quality and better directional sound if you are a gamer. They are somewhat bulky but that but that is only compared to my Bose QC15 that I travel with so in fact its not an issue at all.Love the the swap-able batteries. A single battery will last a full day of gaming. ~12hrs of nonstop gaming. No latency issues at all. Very comfortable over my ears and on my head. The built in Mic works great if you use USB. I recently had issues with the disconnecting for a split second and then reconnecting. It is quick enough where I don't notice it but the windows connect/disconnect sound plays and that's the only way I know it happened. It is now connected via analog and the microphone quality severely degrades. So I would suggest that you use the USB for the microphone output to the PC.

Hands down the best headset I have ever owned. Wireless perfection. I love this cans, absolutely love them. I was actually really torn between these and the Astro A50's when it was time to buy though, so I bought them both! The A50's seemed to have far too much bass & I hated the charging stand as opposed to the swap-able batteries that came with the SteelSeries, so the Astros were the set that went back to the store.

Destroys my old Logitech g930's that I had and both lasted me around 16 months. The price was worth it no more damn cahrge cable, such a smart idea
