So far windows 8.1 is working ok , just hard to get use to. The only thing i haven't got working is my xbox 360 controller. I watched utube videos on how to fix this but it doesn't seem to work.

Upgraded to Windows 10 pretty much immediately. Whatever your opinion of Microsoft's latest OS, it's been pretty solid for my purposes so far.

While 8.1 is an improvement over 8 in terms of performance, and they managed to place the start button on the desktop.... The UI choice is horrendous, should of been it's own thing for touch tablets.

Swiping things in certain places on accident brings up search charms, and all this other crazy non-sense. Moving your windows occasionally minimizes everything. It's a hassle to just have to turn all this stuff off as well.

If you have to get Windows 8 or have that thing pre-installed, get the update as soon as possible to 8.1.

Extremely fast, easier to navigate than Windows 8, and easy to install.

Hate on it if you want, but it's great with 3rd party applications like Classic Shell. I do miss the Aero theme though (and the '97 reskin option)...

I just got Windows 8 with the intention of using the free upgrade to 10 once all the G3258 overclocking issues were sorted out.

As of November 12th, Windows 10 Build 10586.3 finally restored G3258 overclocking, so I did a clean install of 10 and everything's been great ever since.

This is listed as $0.00 in my build because I got this with credit card rewards points.

An ok Windows OS as expected, but not good if you plan to watch videos on the windows media player.

I like 8.1 and the installation and subsequent updates were easy. Very clean and I'm glad I paid for this OS.

Was able to upgrade to Windows 10 easily. Even after hardware failure, I was able to get Windows 10 activated easily.

I generally dislike windows 8.1 but I needed an os and didn't want to deal with trying to find 7 for some reason I can't remember it was 2014
