Between my husband and I we've had five of these and only one had died in 8 years. Not bad at all. This one is sharing a 60GB cache SSD

Not worth the extra price you'd normally pay for it, but like most WD drives has been fast and dependable.

Has been working ok for almost 6 years. Noisy when seeking/writing data, noisiest I've had so far but gets the job done.

I personally do not bother much about the seek noise since it is used just to store backups and media files for video production.

increased cache from caviar blue means faster load times, and it is well worth it. carries all of my games and plays.tv footage with no sweat. sometimes i forget it is there.

Getting on for something like 8 years old I think and still working perfectly. Not much more I can say than that!

Does its job. It gets pretty loud sometimes, but it functions like it's supposed to.
