I will only buy Asus motherboards! I love the UEFI and it is so simple and a breeze to use. Overclocking done right, seriously! The black and grey color scheme looks so good and the IO/Chipset RGB looks superb! Also the Q-Code display along with the assortment of buttons (clear cmos, bios flash, start, reset, etc..) are definitely convenient when trying to salvage and overclock gone wrong! Also the water pump header was awesome because I have a dual loop and having that along with the h_amp header means my 2 D5 pumps don't have to fight for power! This board deserves a 6/5 stars because it's got it all!

What can I say, it's an ASUS and the build quality shows. Great line of motherboards and this one isn't too pricey!

Great looking motherboard. No complaints on it whatsoever. I would recommend 100%.

    Great motherboard with cool features!

AURA software is GARBAGE though. Go with a Gigabyte for RGB stuff.

I've had my eye on this board since I first started the build. It is a great board and feels very sturdy and reliable. The packaging was excellent and installing it into the case was a breeze. The holes all lined up (unlike the TUF 2 board that I was originally convinced to try out) and the IO plate design makes everything look clean. Wish there was another internal USB 2.0 port, but can't really fault them for it. BIOS was simple and easy to understand and go through. Awesome board.

I'm gonna be honest I really only bought this board because of the look, it's a wonderful board none the less. Unfortunately I don't use all the features on it but it is a easy board to hook everything into and looks great too.

No problems so far. The manual is easy to follow and had no problems updating the bios via usb before installing win10.

Looks great. Lots of options. Lots of tuning On board sound card caused many issues of no-sound. Disabled it and bought a Sennheiser GSX 1200 Pro instead

from completed build My RGB Gaming Beast

This is a great all around mobo at a very reasonable price. It performs well and handled my overclocks with ease. The RGB lighting on it looks very nice as well. I was slightly disappointed that the board only had a single USB 2.0 header on it, especially since it seems targeted toward RGB gaming builds with its RGB lighting and multiple RGB headers on the board. The one USB header is taken up by my AIO cooler, so I had to buy an additional USB 2.0 internal hub to add in my NZXT Hue+. This could just be a personal preference though, so this otherwise great motherboard still gets 5 stars from me.

I always wanted a ROG Maximus board and while the performance isn’t significantly different from the competitors, I definitely like it over my Gigabyte, MSI, Bioshock and basic ASUS boards I have had in the past. The bios is really what helps it stand out. Looks help too.
