Plain and simple the optio-mechanical switch is far better then anything on the market. The wrist rest is very comfortable and fit the board nicely. This thing is ideal for FPS games as it’s very fast and tactile. No missed key strokes here. Programable buttons and macros. LEDs look amazing and get super bright or really dim. Overall worth every penny.

    Great keyboard.

    Pro:

    1. Great typing/gaming feeling. 2. RGB looks amazing. 3. Comfortable wrist support.

    Cons:

    1. Pretty expensive 2. Requires 2 USB ports. 3. Requires new Razer synapse software, which couldn't find my 'old' deathadder mouse.

The only thing I genuinely hate about this keyboard is that it does not feel made to be for a gamer. Where the hell are my macro keys and why does Razer suddenly not believe in these anymore? The keyboard is good, clicky beyond belief if you like that, look no further. Me however, trying to stream I hear the clicking way too much. Even with my mic at a pretty good distance I can hear this thing going. I just want macro keys on it though so badly. I love playing ARMA 2 and 3 and without those 5 macro keys on the side like with my Deathstalker Ultimate and G910 Spectrum... I really feel at a disadvantage trying to find keybinds on my keyboard instead of having those keys very specifically bound.

I, honestly, cannot claim to know whether or not the opto-mechanical thing is really anything to be excited about.

However, for what little I know about keyboards, this thing looks and feels GREAT. The keys are light and quick beyond measure (to the point where, having used a membrane keyboard for a while, I sometimes find myself resting my fingers just a touch too heavily and accidentally pressing a key). They also sound loud and clicky and are quite tactile.

The lighting on this keyboard is beyond anything else on the market, especially with Razer's advanced lighting systems. It's just a shame that outside of its direct power, Razer Synapse is an often unstable software that has some pretty janky controls in Chroma Studio.

Also, everyone else is exactly on point: The wrist rest is VERY comfortable.

Definitely one of my favorite keyboards. I've used Razer in the past and I've only ever had one of their keyboard that I didn't care for.

The best keyboard I ever had. The feeling and the sound is great and the reaction time is perfect.

My first mechanical keyboard! I've been a Razer fan since forever and I wasn't going to buy my peripherals from any other company. I was about to buy the Blackwidow Elite when this dropped. I got it at an awesome deal from Amazon. The tactility is perfect and the clicky noise was obnoxious at first, but it didn't take long for me to get used to it. I can see why people buy clicky keyboards now. Having dedicated media control keys and a volume wheel is awesome. I wish it had a column of macro keys on the far left side, but it's not that big of a deal. What is though, are the little painful shocks/jolts of electricity that it delivers from the wrist rest. The wrist rest itself is quite plush, but the shocks of electricity form the metal edges are unacceptable. There are lots of people with this issue complaining on Reddit.

This keyboard is clean and classy as well. I have had it for about 6 months at the time of this review. It is very responsive and feels very sturdy. The detachable wrist rest is nice as well. I have started noticing some drifting while playing though. I don't know if there is a connection issue or software issue but after letting go of the walking keys, my character will continue to move until i press it again. I looking further into the issue.
