This is my first pc build, and I need some help. If I replace the AMD FX-8320 with the AMD FX-8350 on this build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/rJ3kzy , what kind of improvement will I get, and is it worth the extra $? Please help me!
Improvement will be very little ... You cannot experience it.
Instead I've included
1) liquid CPU cooler.
2) faster ram
3) better GPU (r9 290)

Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't it better to have 2x4GB sticks?
U have 1 8 GB stick now and another you could buy later on.
2 x 4 GB just fills up the space.
2x4 does have a slight advantage, as it runs dual channel. getting 2 1x8 sticks does not have the advantage, since the sticks aren't optimized to work together. My recommendation would be to get the RAM you need all at once, and get it in 2 sticks.
The upgrade from the 8320 to 8350 is not significant, you could save yourself the money and get all the same performance by overclocking the 8320, since they are quite literally the same piece of hardware. Just invest in a cooler.
It won't gives much more difference.
