Hello again folks,

This list is a revision of my last build thanks to user FrostPirate, and I'm interested in any more feedback.

Curious about the reasoning for your changes?

I'm also split on windows 8. I use 7 right now, and I'm not sure the change is worth it.

Windows 8/8.1 gives you dx12 support when it launches, which win7 doesn't and it's going to be a big deal from a gaming perspective if the changes microsoft has shown off go through. You also have what amounts to an identical interface with 8.1 to windows 7 when you get a start menu button replacement.

Changed the motherboard to something cheaper and z97 so that if you want you have broadwell to upgrade to (though I wouldn't personally)

Changed the SSD because that particular kingston one has been the subject of some pretty serious controversy due to a bait and switch. The ssd isn't that great because it uses asynchronous flash memory.

Changed the gpu because the powercolor is in fact quieter than the tri x (it has more raw heatsink area) and is cheaper.

Changed the powersupply because the only reason to go full mod is if you plan to get custom sleeved cables (not extensions), otherwise semi mod makes more sense.

Changed the monitor to an ips equivalent (better color gamut and viewing angles).
