That CPU should be OK (for now), but the GPU is likely needing an upgrade (1650 should be quite enough as a start, and it won’t overpower your stock internals)

I’d also consider doubling the RAM, and adding in a sizeable SSD (these will help as well)

I did some research and apparently it’s DTX (a cross between a small mATX machine and ATX)

A single slot card (like the 1650 XLR8) should be fine (you don’t need an SFF card, and it also may be noisier)

im glad you mentioned the single slot. i was only looking at the motherboard. you need both a single slot and a half height card unless you take the motherboard out of the case. you cannot fit a full height cpu unless you are going to cut up the case. I mean you CAN slot it in and use it if you leave the computer sideways and keep the side panel off and the pcie bracket doesn't block the videocard from slotting in, but if you want that computer to close up properly then you will need a single slot half height gpu like the gt 1030 gddr5 or the rx 550. the rx 550 is the most powerful single slot half height gpu on the market atm. its either that or a gt 1030 gddr5 for an upgrade. I reccomend the bright pink rx 550 from yeston. you might need to borrow the pci bracket from your 730 to have it in properly, but its pretty much the only option you have for that computer to play apex legends.

one big question i have about your computer is that is the tower one of the really skinny ones or is it a full size tower? If it is a low profile tower there is only a few options for a gpu upgrade. Those would be the rx 550 LP, rx 460lp GTX 1050 LP (or 1050ti LP), Or the gtx 1650 LP. low profile cards can get a bit pricey so you only want to purchase one if you need a low profile card. the Yeston RX550-4G D5 LP Graphics Card Radeon Chill GDDR5 128Bit VGA+HDMI+DVI-D GPU brand new on ebay.ca is 130 ca and would let you play apex legends at 720p low settings with a decent framerate and little stuttering. for 230 ca you can get the gtx 1650 low profile and play at 1080p high settings with a locked framerate. I would personally go for that.

realistically it comes down to 2 gpus for an upgrade and that depends on how much you want to spend

so your computer does meet the minimum requirements as is, but that gpu is really is going to be the weakspot. The gtx 1650 is a good option since you won't have to switch the power supply and it would be a huge improvement. Cpu is fine right now, but if you find a used i7-4770 it might be a worthwhile option on ebay. I also see intel xeon e3-1231 v3 on ebay for 97 bucks and would perform the same (though you would have to see if its compatible, its the same socket but that doesn't mean it will work). As mentioned by the other comment adding an SSD would be a great option, but i usually cheap out and go with a 120 or 240gb ssd and just store the games on the hard drive. As for the ram i would look at used ebay ram. a 16gb kit would be great (2x8gb) but its not like 75 CAD is expensive for 16gb. a used kit is about 60 bucks. If i were updating this i would do this

intel Xeon e3-1231 v3 for 97 16gb ddr3 (2x8gb) for 60 240gb ssd for 50 GTX 1650 lp for 224 grab an extra sata cable so you can have the hard drive and SSD hooked up to be clear though the gpu is the first priority. get that and see if it feels fine. If it doesn't get the ram then the cpu. the ssd is really just to make the computer run smoother.

The tower is a very small, and narrow case. Almost like its a mini. If the case is an issue i could upgrade that as well?

maybe. depending on the motherboard. if your board matches the one i sent a link to (there are 2 different boards 1 has a blue connector in the bottom right and the other does not have that connector) then it should be a fairly easy transplant.
the screw locations look like a wide micro atx motherboard minus the bottom slots, the cpu and motherboard power connectors are standard. The cpu fan connector is also standard and honestly you could continue to use the same cpu cooler. The front audio connector looks standard (bottom right connetor underneath where the gpu would go, the blue connector is a standard USB 3.0 connector for the one that has it. The usb connectors to the right of it are standard too. Even if your board is the one that doesn't have the blue connector. they sell usb 3.0 to 2.0 adapters the front i/o is the colored thing to the right of the rectangular heatsink. from the picture outlined below it looks like standard power button reset switch LED's. no sensors to cause errors. (dell optiplex boards are famous for this). Heck even the I/O shield looks like it comes out and you could put that into the new case.

there are a few things you need to keep in mind 1. You will need an atx power supply. their power supply is not going to be long enough for the connections and your current power supply wont fit. I would reccomend a thermaltake 500w for 40 bucks You then could get a used gpu like an rx 470 on ebay for 80 bucks then which would be a perfect match. 2. the screw holes are micro atx but are the wide kind. if the case you picks can fit a ASRock B450M-HDV R4.0 Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard (the micro atx board with 4 ram slots) then it will work with this motherboard 3. if you purchase a case this motherboard has 0 fan connectors aside from cpu. If it comes with case fans they need to be molex fans (ones that plug directly into the power supply. the "DIYPC MA08-BK MicroATX Mini Tower Case" would be an example of this. (also it supports the wider motherboard screws, its a tight fit but it would be a good cheap solution with cooling that can hook up to the power supply 4. you are not going to be able to mount the dvd drive. You can still hook it up (at least the connectors look standard) but you wont have anywhere to put it. if you ever need to use it you would have to take your side panel off if you hook it up. 5. the pinout might not be labled for your motherboard the red backed pins are your power switch, blue backed pins are reset (if you have a reset button not sure) the red and orange connectors are going to be power led and HDD led they are going to be the ones closest to the bottom of the board. you might have to guess and then rewire a couple times for this one. 6. you will need to be concious of the length of your videocard compared to the connectors on the bottom of your motherboard, if you purchase a really long videocard it might block of your usb ports. they sell short rx 480's. it is 97 dollars for one. It would be a good match for your cpu. otherwise xfx sells a single fan rx 470 i think would be a good match too

If that goes smoothly yea you can transplant ill make a seperate comment for a suggested build for a transplant https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/IgoAAOSwu1VW4zQ~/s-l1600.jpg

IDK what that translates to canadian but i think that is the best way to stay in your budget. to put things in perspective a regular gtx 1650 performs similar to an rx 470. hope this helps

oh one other thing. hold off on the cpu there isn't a immediate rush for that. when games you want to play wont run on it is when you should change that

also i screwed up " the red and orange connectors are going to be power led and HDD led they are going to be the ones closest to the bottom of the board." the GREEN and orange connectors. they are below the red
