Hey everyone,

I'm trying to find a 1440p monitor with 144hz or more, for as cheap as possible. It will be used for gaming with my new build.

CPU: i7 8700k GPU: GTX 1660ti

Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

1080/2080+ for 1440p144. That 1660 Ti won't cut it.

1080/2080+ for 1440p144

You mean 1080ti/2080? 1080 is slightly below 2070 in performance.

It's not that much worse for the price, but yeah. I use a 1080 for 1440p144, and most games play fine, but a 1080 Ti would be a good precaution for future games. Thanks for the correction! :)

Their dead pixel policy is not too nice. However, if you don't mind a few dead pixels, great panel! ;)

Jeez, thanks for the heads up, think I will just go 1080p.

Thanks for your comment bucket.

heres some 1080p 144hz monitors. I've only listed 27 inch screens but they get cheaper the smaller they are

I'm thinking of changing to a 2060. I will start out on 1080p, but 1440p is definitely a goal of mine in the near future.

Thanks for the great advice! I'm currently torn between a 1660ti and 2060. I read they are pretty much the same performance with 2060 having an edge in 1440p (Significantly less than a 2080 of course)

Will a 1660ti be future proof? And would it be worth going 1080p 144hz monitor for that card? Or would I need the 2060 for 144hz? also at 1080p

Thanks in advance.
