Hello everyone, I'm trying to create the best build for gaming, streaming, editing and some rendering. Mainly going to be for gaming and streaming. I do have fast internet. Though would like some opinions separate from the build on streaming gear for the IT guys here. I work in the IT industry so configuring a switch, router, server setup for better ping and streaming isn't to bad for me if anyone has any knowledge on a good setup. The build I want to create, I want to look nice, run cool, overclock well and perform well. Id like to see what you guys can put together. I will note that I'm not going to build it until 3-5 months from now.

Which currency? Are you going to need peripherals? Are you going to need windows 10?

USD, no peripherals, have them from my current build and will use windows 10

Alright thanks, I'll get to it.

It might be worth holding off locking down CPU/Motherboard and GPU choices until closer to the time of purchase. Also, prices are quite dynamic, especially if new hardware is out, so you might get something better price wise in 3-5 months.

There is at least a new generation of CPUs coming out from AMD which look very compelling and highly competitive on paper and there might be a new gen of GPU from AMD as well, though may be more mid range so not offering any competition to NVidia at high end.

We can still pull a build together but as I say might be worth coming back here regarding at least the CPU and GPU at the time of purchase.

  • 1 point

This is true, though id like to see what you guys think is a great choice for a build for what's out now. Once the time comes I will see what's new. Also may start soon on getting a few parts at a time or all at once later.

This will at the moment offer a very decent rig to cover all your requirements without compromise.

I am leaning more toward the i9 9900k CPU so I really like the build idea.

Personally I don't think the 2080ti is worth the extra money but your free to add one they are having a rather high fail rate depending on what memory comes with it. This is way under your budget so plenty of money left.

Case comes down to what you like and you can adjust the storage as needed.

For the best streaming experience you need a dedicated gaming, editing, rendering PC and a dedicated streaming PC or it will kill your performance.

Main PC.

Here's what I came up with, it'll do everything you want it to do perfectly and it looks good. You'll have room for overclocking and the 4 fans are fairly quiet fans, 3 are for front intake and the other one is for a rear exhaust. You could also add a large hard drive, I think you said you had a server though. PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

If you don't have a server than you might want to get a different case as this one does not have many drive bays. Also I forgot to include thermal paste, but it isn't that expensive anyway.

I'm not sure if you would want two pc's or just one powerful one so i just made one for now i'll make a two pc build soon for you so you can see your options.

Here's a good $4000 build. The case will have a "door" that opens to a fan controller, Blu-ray reader/writer, and card reader (as well as extra USB ports).

However, AMD plans to release their new 7nm CMU's and GPU's on July 7th (4 months from now), and based off of the rumors i have seen about specs, it would be worth it to get a Ryzen 9 (because they are rumored to have 12C/24T and 16C/32T and better single-core preformance then an i9-9900k), and possibly a Navi GPU if they have more power then a 2080ti when they are released.
