Need Parts List for Gaming/Streaming PC Please

LockedInBeast

First of all, thanks to anyone who will take the time to respond to me!

I am trying to build a pc for the longest time now and I'm just not sure what parts to get.

I guess ill start here; I'm looking to build around $500-1K can be a little more.

I need a pc that'll allow me to play games on max settings like Fortnite, COD, the upcoming Battlefield, CS, Destiny, basically any known game out there.

I also need to know what kind of gaming monitor i need for this pc, currently i have a 60hz samsung curved monitor for my ps4 so I'm sure i need a 144hz monitor correct?

Also, what streaming parts would i need to stream and capture gameplay, i heard Elgato is good but i just want to make sure

I would like a color theme going, but maybe a white mid tower with rgb lights would do the trick for now.

Is anything else needed? (monitor, keyboard, mouse, Win10 licence)

Keyboards and mouse i can find no problem unless there is a specific one you can suggest? I like an rgb keyboard not to sure about a mouse really.

Window 10 i do need, and maybe a monitor you can suggest would be cool, thank you for responding! Im practically new into the pc scene

Right, for gaming and streaming, I'd go with a Ryzen 7 (the first gen chips have come down in price, so one of those would be an optimal pick)

As for the screen, that Samsung one will do the job nicely, but if you want to get an upgrade from that panel, a 75Hz, IPS, FreeSync panel would be optimal (to pair with that RX 580)

Couple questions; so when you say that the first gen chips is an optional pick you're talking about the storage right? since theres 2 of them in this list?

and when i was looking into the list it said to look at the notes and it said this; "The CRYORIG - H7 49.0 CFM CPU Cooler may require a separately available mounting adapter to fit the ASRock - X370M Pro4 Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard."

and if i were to choose a different case that wouldn't affect the build correct?

  • The H7 did not come with the AM4 bracket initially, but it should by now

  • A different case wouldn't affect anything, but do be aware that some will have closed front panels instead of mesh (better for noise, but no good for airflow)

  • By first gen chip, I mean a Ryzen 7 1XXX series CPU (the storage is completely different to the CPU)

Can confirm. I bought an H7 off amazon a few months ago that came with the bracket they should definitely all be shipping with the AM4 bracket by now.

I think it would be smart to at least get a b450 for a decent upgrade path.

The B350 will still work with newer CPUs (as long as it's had a BIOS flash)

They will work but I wouldn't want to run say a 2600x with a b350 board.

So this is a little over budget. But, it will run over 100 fps on almost all games. Pairing that with a 120hz-144hz freesync monitor would be ideal. Note; if you wish to dabble into overclocking I would upgrade your cpu cooler. If not then dont worry about it. Stock one is more than good. I'll also make a build under 1000.

You would, but I'd also get a cheaper fan pack, a larger SSD and an RX 580

the cpu comes with a good cooler

I would buy a 1080 (cheaper than the Vega 64 you listed), and swap that motherboard for a B450 Tomahawk or Pro Carbon.

A little less performance than that vega 64 but the 580 will run very good with that 75hz monitor.
