Is it possible to make your self deaf to bass? I was wondering because bass keeps becoming less and less satisfactory and I keep setting the bass higher and higher in Viper4Windows. Yes I am setting gain down to prevent square waves.

It is possible. low frequency sounds (Bass) can make you temporarily deaf after hearing a beat.

ViPER is super inconsistant for me, are you sure it's not the program glitching up?

Blasting music anything over the comfortable listening level for humans (90 to 140+ dB) can induce deafness. Generally it's the volume in which you play that will cause deafness.
