Replacing GPU

I want to go ahead and replace my brother's GTX 750 to a GTX 970 but he has these non-modular, made-in-China crap PSUs, like Huntkey. It's 550W MAX, but I'm not sure if it's good enough. Specific model is the MSI GTX 970 Gaming X 4GB.

I HIGHLY recommend getting a new Power Supply, like a Supernova G2 or Supernova G3. Try to find vagabond139 and ask him for more recommendations.

Don't worry about PSUs and such, I already know what I'm looking for. Speaking of which, though, unfortunately EVGA isn't available in my country. So I'm opting for the Corsair CXM/TXM-series the most, or SeaSonic.

That being said. Everything seems to be working fine. I just finished inserting the GPU in and now downloading the drivers.

Get the 2017 versions of the Corsair PSUs if you want Corsair. The 520W 80+ Bronze Modular Seasonic PSU is a great choice also.

I'll take a look at those, and I'm also opting for a Bronze 620W, Fully Modular PSU from SeaSonic that my older brother owns. Reliably enough.

That will work.
