Liquid Cooling Questions

I hope to be getting a custom liquid cooling loops here soon, I was wondering how often I would need to clean it. I heard you need to clean it every six months(Please correct me if i'm wrong) but is there a way around this, like perhaps something you can add to the coolant?

rule of thumb is indeed about every six months.

I suspect some folks would even say you want to remove and disassemble the blocks and clean those ever year or two. That'll depend on the source. I don't have an opinion on that second part but my plan is to replace the coolant in my custom loop every 6 months or so.
