Hi, I want to downsize my computer. Basically the case is really large and unnecessary.
I need as small as possible to fit everything inside
have you already bought all/some of the parts yet?
All of the Z97 ITX boards are missing prices since they are 3 gens old, you are going to need to get a new CPU and RAM too along with a new board, case, and maybe CPU cooler.
How do you feel about not having a 5.25" bay or a tower of drive caddies? If you're ok with losing them there's quite a few smaller mid-towers. The ones that come to mind are : NZXT- S340, Corsair 400c/460x, and the Fractal Design-C.
The fractal design define c is the case you're looking for. I had an r5 and hated the bulk of it. Until the define c came out there weren't any really small atx cases,b even an s340 or p400 aren't that small. Check the dimension and I think you'll find that is footprint is smaller than many micro atx cases and I think all other atx cases that has a standard layout. yet it fits fully atx components. I've got the c and I love it
In the interest of saving money, this could be a good bet since it doesn't require a motherboard change. Then again, SFX power supplies can be fairly pricey.
It's also still a tad big, because, well. ATX.
