So a couple of weeks ago my old computer finally took a dump on me...and well it's time to start looking into replacing it! This is the first time ever trying to piece by piece put something together myself so it's a little intimadating. This is a rough first draft of something I threw together...hoping someone can point me in the right direction as far as things to replace/keep. Live in the Midwest US if that helps any! By the way it's strictly going to be a gaming PC...mostly blizzard games IE wow, heroes of the storm, Diablo, etc...possibly some fps games as well. 850-950 ish budget to work with as well. Dont need keyboard/mouse/headset but I do need an OS. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Sinon28/saved/BpjdnQ

For the record dunno why it's listing a couple parts as purchased but I haven't gotten anything yet. Just to clear up any confusion lol.

Getting the newer-generation i5-6600K is the better way to go, despite the $30 difference between the older chip equivalent.

I also exchanged the GTX 950 with a 960 instead, because the price difference is pretty negligible (similar to the 6600K | 4690K situation).

Buying an OEM key for Win10 retail isn't the best, you could buy it elsewhere for much less money (no piracy included). Not sure if you were actually planning to buy it retail, but I thought I'd suggest that since if you didn't, you'd save around $70, making the final price of that list below $950.
