Love the livestreams though, wished you did more!

Thanks -- glad you enjoy them! We've got a couple planned in December, and we're looking to stream more often again after the new year.

I chuckled a bit when I saw that you name was BoyScout. Were you actually a boy scout or did you just kinda adopt the name?

  • 2 points

Yep, I was a scout in my youth. Great memories. That said, I picked up the name when I started online gaming as I liked projecting the idea of always being prepared. :)

  • 1 point

I am a scout too! Having just crossed over, I am only at second class though.

Very cool. Try to stick with it if you can. While the journey to Eagle can be challenging, I'm glad I didn't give up. I learned a lot in those years.

I was a Boy Scout for a while until I joined the Sea Scouts, and I agree, it was well worth it, I learned a lot.

This case looks like my speed. You have to be really on point with the cable management using the 570x. Not that I don't still want one or anything.

I'm so jealous of this case. I got a 400C right before it came out.

  • 1 point

What a beautiful case. I have seen other reviews. 4 Tempered glass panels. How amazing is that. Pretty good choices on parts for the build too. This will be streamed on twitch right?

  • 1 point

Yep -- we will stream and archive the VOD on Twitch. A summary video should be on YouTube at a later date.

The 460X has two tempered glass panels -- the front and the side. You might be thinking of it's big brother, the Crystal 570X RGB which also has glass on the top and back panels.

Thanks for watching -- glad you enjoyed it!

Just wanted to say thanks for the stream. It was really enjoyable. One quick thought and one question if I may...

  1. I'm probably a bit older than the average around here and I have a ton of CDs (literally hundreds) and usually purchase my music by physical means, so I'm not a fan of the movement to do away with ODDs. I burn all of the physical copies to iTunes. However, this case is beautiful, and I suppose I could always get an external USB CD player if I use it for my next build but with a case this large though...why don't manufacturers offer a single spot for an ODD? A single slim slot-feed side or front facing ODD on the floor really wouldn't have changed the dimensions much...even if it meant forgoing the bottom 3.5 drive slot to use.

  2. I've got a Corsair 650D which was awesome for my first attempt at a build but it seems way too big for my desk. I believe this case is about 2" shorter but was wondering what you thought of its overall size...is it something you would put on your desk next to your monitor or would you stash it under the desk once the build was complete.

  • 1 point

In response to #1: It's a cost and aesthetics thing; ODD (of course) have a slight cost associated with them, and, seeing as the majority of people don't use them anymore removing the ODD slot is an easy way to wipe of a few cents from each case. And, from my point of view, an unused ODD slot is just ugly (especially the slim slot loading one on my ft03-B Mini).

tfw you've been eyeing this case for a while and liked it more than any other case but the inevitable influx of people to build with the case now that its been put in the spotlights makes you want to find a new case

Just wait when I build my next PC. I will make one of THE best cases ever made. (seriously) It's gonna be coka cola theemd and will feature tons of coka cola cans!

The evolve is nice, but to me the Luxe Tempered is better IMO, comes in 2 colors, black and Gunmetal and has some more wiggle room space wise. I'll be getting mine when Newegg gets it in stock All rdy pre-ordered mine =) for my upcoming X99 Build. Though this might change, because even though I am not thrilled about KLake's release...the Z270 mobos that ASUS leaked...look...Epic...

  • 1 point

The Luxe is just too big for me lol

  • 1 point

Think the Luxe is big, my current case the the Enthoo Primo....that s**t is ginormous LOL talk about a Super Tower. Only reason I am parting with it for the Luxe is 3 reasons

  1. LED Customization
  2. Tempered Glass (Smoked)
  3. Has 3 SSD Slots on the glass side that can show off 3 of your SSDs, If you have that Much

  4. (Bonus Reason) - The Color is Different and I never seen or made a build with the Gunmetal Grey Color, can't w8 my build is going to be sick =)

  • 1 point

Yeah, the Primo is ginormous. They look pretty cool, I just don't have enough space on my desk for any full tower :P

I say either this case or Elite S340 will be overused case of 2017.

No, it just comes with the 3 on the front. The LED controller has room for 3 more though if you want to add matching fans for the rear or top exhaust.
