Description

spent about 2 months saving up buying each part. My first PC build. Made it because i wanted my own PC and becasue I wanted to play games with good graphics and nice framerates (unlike my last pc with dual core 2.3ghz something or other and an 8600 GT bleugh). Anyway i did a lot of research on my build and i know what youre all gonna say "Errr should have gone with the 670 it has a bigger memory bus" or whatever, i dont care because a 670 is like £100 more anyway so stfu> It works brilliant i am so pleased with it. Not planning to overclock cpu yet hence the stock cooler but when i think it's neccessary i will. Was orginally gonna go with an i7 but the internet persuaded me to go with an i5 if gaming was my sole purpose. I do a lot of web browsing like youtube and reddit and **** like that and maybe when im bored 'll **** around on photo shop and like put a **** on a potato or some **** idk. Anyway here it is!

I know the cable managements not that good but i tried my best.

Also i know my HAF 922 has the window inside of the extra 200mm fan but i got a £10 discount on it. Still keeps it cool :D

Also i get a problem that i want sorting where the video driver crashes on youtube vids and ****, heres the link if you think you can help me: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/386341-15-video-driver-stops-responding-recovers-help

Also i realise 5900rpm is a little slow but the storage space persuaded me to buy. I'll probs buy a solid state for my OS in the future if i feel like wasting money on something that doesnt even bother me. Anyway feel free to troll, I am very interested in your nice comments you have for me to suffer :D

Nice cable management for the case, it didn't look like it was that easy, only thing I'd say about the GPU is you could have looked at ATI because they often have better price vs. performance.

Thankyou :) and i was kinda drawn towards the Nvidia side because of PhysX features lol XD

I have the same case, the cable management is really hard.

Yeah it would it nice if they included that little box for spare cables that some other cases have next to the PSU.

Nice looking machine. I just built a box with this same card. The PC also runs Win7 64-bit (Pro version). I have not experienced the issue with youtube videos. Question: What browser are you using? I have used firefox almost exclusively. I'll try chrome as well once I find out how to keep Chrome's cache off the SSD.

BTW: I also liked the physx feature of the card and overall stability of the Nividia drivers. The physx stuff is cool in Borderlands2

Thanks! :D I use google chrome but i tested to see if the error occurs with internet explorer and it does :/. Also happens when i open itunes too for some reason. i'll live. And yeah i love borderlands 2 physx :'D also i love the framerates you can get with with this card especially on battlefield 3 :).

I'll take a look at the card config and see if I can come up with something that might help. Yep, it is a great card.

Nice build, your back cable management looks ridiculously good. unlike mine all shoved-in near the back right. :D

Thanks :D and it doesnt really matter as long as your components aren't too toastie then you should be good, it's not like anyone except you guys on here are gonna look at my cable management XD :).

Overall, it sounds like you're very happy with your build.

That's all that matters. So long as YOU are satisfied with the performance, it's a great build.

Thinking about going with a similar build myself, but I'm having trouble deciding between the GTX 660 Ti and the HD 7950.

Thanks for the nice feedback :). I am very happy with the performance exept for that damn video driver crash thing :/. It's a shame because i gotta start focusing on my exams and college work and then im going university which would be hard for me to bring my PC a long distance so i'll have to leave it at home :'(. Not enough time to use it!! And thats a hard decision! Just do some research and read some reviews to see which one to get. either way, theyre both brilliant cards and can both can run modern games extremely well :)

Nicely done! And nice cable management, I just shoved all my cables to the emptied drive bays :p I wanted the LED fans too, defintely will get some in the future.

Thankyou :) i really didn't think my cable management was that good. My main aim was to just make it easy to get the back case plate on easily :)

Now you can focus on getting a new chair. :P

XD aha yeah i looks like ****, it's the old family pc computer chair but it serves it's purpose :). New mouse is next on the list though, got a really old microsoft one with low dpi and a dodgy scroll wheel :P

bad scroll wheels are the WORST. Replace that mouse NOW.

I quite like the G9x I have because you can lock or unlock the scroll, so it can scroll free or be locked in at a "click" scroll.

Nice build and cable management, but u should have gotten a 7200 rpm hdd for better drive performance since u don't have an SSd

I i know :/ my one mistake, but i'm happy with it , it boots quick enough and the only problems i have to waiting for game load screens

You idiot. Why would get a 5900RPM drive? It's so much slower than a 7200RPM drive. You're such a terrible builder, go kill yourself! All jokes aside, nice build, and really nice cable management.

Get to work on that potato with a penis photoshop! I think we can all agree that is an amazingly hilarious concept.

Nice build.

May I just ask what the point in an expensive pc case is?
