Description

I had a lot of fun with this build. I wasn't even entirely sure it was going to boot (I remembered the power switch don't worry) and I was sure on more than one occasion that I had shocked my motherboard. However, it did, and I can tell you it is the best experience ever! You won't understand until you build a PC yourself ;). This is a great mid-range PC. It can run most of the game I play like War Thunder and Warframe at 1080p at high or ultra. I wouldn't spend anymore than this on a 1080p experience honestly. The only thing I would change is switching out the RX 570 for an RX 580. I believe this build will last me for years :).

Ryzen 5 2600- I managed to take one from Best Buy for $160 (without tax) and I must say it performs excellent! This is mainly a gaming PC so I can't tell you how it manages streaming and editing, but I CAN say that it will probably run them just fine.

MSI B350 TOMAHAWK (Not a mistake)- At first I was thinking about a B450 with micro-ATX form factor, but when I saw this motherboard on sale for $75 I couldn't refuse. Even came Ryzen 2000 ready!

Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4-3000- I wanted the 2400mhz version because I knew that my motherboard had only up to 2667mhz support, but since 2400mhz simply wasn't available, I had to go with the 3000mhz version. At default, it was switched to 2133mhz, but with some easy tweaking I changed it.

Western Digital WD Blue Storage- Great brand and works well. However, Windows 10 could not detect the HDD even though it was registered in BIOS. In case you have the same problem, check out FatedCB's YouTube video on how to fix it.

MSI Radeon RX 570 4gb ARMOR OC- At first I'd wanted a 8gb version, but I realized that it wouldn't matter too much considering that I wouldn't be gaming over 1080p anyway. I found a great deal on Ebay for $75.00 and couldn't pass it up! Seriously, Ebay is the best place for used but cheap and still functioning video cards. My only complaint was that when it came in the front panel was bent and I had to spend two hours bending it back to make it fit with a pair of pliers. I know that I could have returned it, (It's a choice) I just couldn't wait any longer and HAD to finish my PC! (I'd waited over a week for the video card to come in)

NZXT H500- An incredible case! The design is truly captivating. I loved the simplicity. As a first time builder, I can defintely tell you that this is the case to use! The easy cable management did not go unnoticed.

Corsair 600 W 80+ Bronze Certified- I'm so glad I looked around in some old PC my family owned! I found this PSU in a 2013 case (With an i5 3570k which I will be reusing in a build for a friend SO AWESOME) and it seemed like it still worked. When I searched it online and realized it was also Bronze Certified, I knew I couldn't pass it up!

All in all a great experience as a first time build. I enjoyed building and would recommend it to anyone even if your build isn't the best. It doesn't matter. Only the building and the sense of accomplishment do!

Make sure your BIOS is up to date and I bet you can run that RAM at rated speed or very close to it. Nice setup.

Looks like your cpu power cable is ran in front of the motherboard, might try rerouting behind and going over the top for a cleaner look. Thats pretty nitpicky of a great build at a great value though. Nice job!

Does the MSI b350 always come ryzen 2000 series ready???

Unfortunately, I don't believe so... However, many that are being made these days DO come Ryzen 2000 ready (You can check if it has the sticker on the box). There is a very high chance that the B350 that you want is ready!

Thank you so much for your enthusiasm! It's nice to know that I didn't do too much wrong. I honestly thought that the RX 580 was 15-20% better. Your comment makes me feel like I didn't miss out on much ;) I will definitely overclock. Great price with the free games btw! I'm glad for you :)
