This was my first build back in March 2017. I used to have a RX 480 4 GB and then a GTX 1070 (both MSI gaming X), AOC 1080p 144Hz Freesync monitor, Redragon K552 keyboard, one PNY 120GB SSD, 8GB (2x4) Teamgroup 2400 MHz RAM, and an i5-7500. I mostly utilized the crypto mining craze to sell off and upgrade my PC. All said and done , I now have a EVGA GTX 1080, Dell 1440p 144Hz G-Sync monitor, Corsair Straff RGB Cherry MX silent keyboard, one 250 GB 960 EVO m.2 and one 500 GB 850 EVO SSD, 16 GB (4x4) 2400 MHz RAM and an i7-7700. I have always enjoyed building and upgrading PC's, and I still try to do so during dark times like this, it is a passion of mine that I won't give up. I hope to inspire those who want to build but can't afford it. I have upgraded this PC through the course of the year, I started off with a beginner gaming PC and ended up with this monster game shredder, now I am completely content with my build. I was patient and looked for those great deals while selling my old parts for as much as I could. I paid a little over $700.00 out of pocket for my upgrades to include the difference from the parts I sold, which is pretty cheap over the course of a year IMO. If you already have a PC and you want to upgrade, don't be afraid to sell your old parts and wait for new ones, always search for deals, some may take time but you will always find one. For those who have not built a PC yet, start cheap if you can't wait, build a nice basic system for your needs, then patiently wait for those upgrades when deals come. I got my GTX 1080 from best buy two weeks ago from 31 Jan 2018 for $635.00, which is not a bad deal these days, also considering I sold my GTX 1070 for $650.00, can you say free upgrade! Keep building everyone, PC master race gamer for life.
