looks great! though honestly I would have gone for the 8320 or 8350 for the price you spent on the 8320E, as the 8350 is cheaper at M.C. than that 8320E. Plus if you intend to OC it, the E-series ain't the best at that :/ it's a E for a rEason ;)

still a +1 for you :)

I went for the E because it used less power and I do not intend on OCing it.

JI just relized you told a pun "it's a E for a r'E'ason"

actually to be more accurate, the 8320 is just a underclocked 8350 that didn't meet 8350 specs and a 8320E is a lower energy spec 8320 that didn't meet 8320 spec...meaning it will overclock less than a regular 8320... I've tried all three out. 100mhz over stock on a 8320E and instant crash. 8320 hit a wall at 4.4ghz. 8350 hit a wall at 4.6... the 8370 I have is running 4.8-4.9ghz at 1.47v under a H100i...

ofc I might have gotten that backwards but I'm certain the 8320 is a 8350 underclocked as it didn't meet 8350 specs.

well it doesn't matter, they are all FX 8XXX vishera chips and perform exactly the same LOL :)

in any case I do hope that E is oc-able for the builder...cause the Es I've tried have not been able to do much OC, unlike their non-E brothers :(

Wrong not all 8XXX series FX chips are faildozer's and they aren't all vishira's

how can the 8350 be a overclocked 8320 when the 8320 (vishira) was made in 2014 where as the 8350 (faildozer) was made in 2012

This PC can handle more than 720, why not purchase a nice 1080 monitor?

Now that everything is together, I'd love to hear what you have to say about how the 8320E is working out for you. I've got a similar project in the works. Its a nice build!

How much of a pain was it to mount the PSU in the top part of the case? I just ordered the case and was wondering.

  • 1 point

It was easy nothing to worry about but be careful about the bottom of the case. When I built my PC I must have put something under it and now I have a bulge inside of my case or like a little hill if you don't know what that means.

  • 1 point

Yeah I get you, alright man I'll keep an eye out, thanks!

Please help me out here. Does the case have room for a 256.5mm card? I want to stick an EVGA GTX 960 FTW in there. Here's the card: https://www.evga.com/products/specs/gpu.aspx?pn=f92b068e-e675-45cc-8c19-8121c143970c

I agree, you could have saved up a little and gotten at least an 80+ Bronze or higher. Higher efficiency = more power efficient = less operating cost over time if that's how you have to justify it to yourself.

Not saying that PSU is going to blow up or anything, just could have gotten a more efficient PSU for not that much more.
