Description

My second PC build after enjoying doing my first so much.

Spent a bit more money this time and am very happy I did so. This rig destroys games at 1440p, 165hz no sweat. Coupled with a ASUS PG279Q, the picture quality is immense.

Nothing of note went to bad with this build. The only slight issue that arose was the lack of cable management options available in the case, however this was minor. The case itself is great looking and i'm glad i steered away from some of the more common corsair offerings.

Comments and suggestions welcome :)

What games exactly were you getting 165 FPS 1440 in?

For you to really take advantage of 165Hz at 1440p, you need to be getting 165fps. What kind of games do you play that you're getting those numbers? You'd usually need SLI 1080's to get even close to that on most of your more demanding games

You could probably maybe do it on CS:GO or League of Legends/DOTA. I want to know what games you're getting 165 FPS on at 1440p too.

I get what you're saying but those were bad examples :P. He can probably get 600fps in those games lol

Yeah. I could maybe see it in a game like Battlefield 1 on lower settings, since even at 1440p that game runs really well on ultra.

Maybe with settings turned down you could get 165 in quite a number of games. No way on max settings.

Just curious - is there a reason you left the ASUS PG279Q out of the parts list?

Hasn't been added to the list yet, only the old TN panel is on there :)

I have a very similar build. I'll post some pics soon! +1 for the case choice! I would recommend at least one intake fan at the bottom.

With all those connections at the bottom of the case, could you put fans on the bottm?

Of course it is! Though the H115i comes with thermal paste pre-applied, so get extra paste only if you really want it.
