Description

It has been over five years since my last epic “Bucket List” build so it was time for an upgrade! After over 3 months of designing, planning, and building, “Bucket List 2.0” is complete!

The “Bucket List 2.0” theme is based on my 2015 C7 Corvette.

The complete build log is here. https://www.overclock.net/forum/18082-builds-logs-case-mods/1717010-build-log-tt-core-p7-bucket-list-2-0-corvette-tribute-build-carbon-fiber-hard-tube-bp-fittings-overload.html

Image Gallery HERE ----> https://ibb.co/album/ikzsdv

This build will be used for gaming as well as video and photo editing! Check out the build log...there were a lot of ups and downs during this build...but it was all well worth it!

I just wanna know more about the NASA photos and mission patches on the wall.

Build is dope of course.

  • 26 points

The two pictures of Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong were actual prints made from the negatives from the camera they used on the moon. My dad worked for Eastman Kodak for 35 years and he obtained these prints from someone he knew at work..I have had these photos ever since I can remember...They were on the wall in my bedroom when I was a little kid in the early 70's. The larger photo surrounded by the Apollo mission patches was a signed photo I received from Buzz Aldrin when I met him about 20 years ago. Thanks for asking.

We all have limits and have to start somewhere. Its great to be able to see beast builds like this but don't hate on what you have!

  • 7 points

Oh, no hate for what I have! Coming from an i7-3770 on a micro-ATX to a Ryzen 7 on a full ATX is going to feel amazing. The PC I'm building is still worth around $2500CDN all told. But damn if my modest pile of new parts doesn't look a lot less impressive now lol

As a fellow Ohio-an, I approve. Also, glad you posted the car, really makes me appreciate the build. I do however have one question, does the Corvette have RGB?

Going to have to ask about the 2990WX if you game and only do video editing on the side?

Even most video editing software prefer the clock speeds of the 7980XE and you don’t have the issues of windows ******** itself with 64 threads.

By the time software will ever use 32c, the 2990WX will be outdated

  • 6 points

I thought about going Intel again on this build, but I really wanted to do this build different and go with AMD Threadripper...I know the performance in gaming is less than with an Intel chip, but I wanted to strike a balance between the two. I also believe that when 7nm Threadripper 3 comes out later this year, it will be able to go clock for clock with Intel! AND...all I have to do is swap out the chip!

  • 4 points

You have to buy it first, the processor itself costs more than twice my pc budget!

  • 2 points

Something tells me this won't be a problem...

  • 3 points

I guess World of Tanks can already do it ( Wargaming relased an article about concurrent rendering support). But 64 threads are overkill. Most definitely overkill.

Can it run minesweeper ?

  • 3 points

I don't think so. This PC is so powerful that it will make the game crash.

  • 2 points

I'll have to try it out. LOL! 32 cores and 64 threads should handle it fairly well.. :-)

  • 2 points

Only an 8x8 map will run. Each square takes a whole thread. Also, if you hit a mine, your CPU will be overloaded, and the computer will melt, so be careful.

  • 1 point

I would hope well...with 32 cores and 64 threads! LOL! I will have to look for a Candy Crush benchmark!

  • 3 points

I've heard that the single core performance is key for Candy Crush so I worry how the Threadripper will handle it. Plus you only have 2 GPUs - can you run it at 240Hz and 8K?

I don't normally like black-white or all-white builds because they all now look a bit cliche. But mannnnnnnnnnnn... the components used, the design, and theme here are EPIC!! Congrats on the feature!

The only thing that would have improved your build is if you found a way to park your C7 to the right side of your P7. Your photos look like you have a covered garage? How close to your computer room is your garage? Maybe knock out some walls and install some windows so you can see your C7 and P7 at the same time? :-D

My one and only complaint would be the mobo IO cables and the reflection of the cables behind it on the table, very minor details I know, but if you could manage to clean that up, then IMO this build would be flawless!

Don't get me wrong though, this thing is beautiful! Well done!

Thanks for sharing your build. It's a nice one. Even though it's not my style, the skill is really appreciated. What are you doing with the rig below the desk?

The only thing that hurts my Feng Shui is the fact that it covers about 60% of the desk and makes everything looks rather cramped. Have you considered hanging it on the wall above, or in the right/left wall?

  • 2 points

Thought about the wall, but it works nice on the the long desk...

Yes..The system is one giant loop with 3 pumps, 3 reservoirs and three radiators...I have temp sensors at the "coldest" and "Hottest" points in the loop and they only differ by 1 degree Celsius.

  • 2 points

Oh, good to know. I was thinking about doing a dual GPU/9900k Single loop myself, but I wonder at what point does it become inefficient, or under perform. My current plan is to use a single 500ml. res.

Nice Build but why you use crappy fan like upHere? Those are 0 radiator fan.

I already tried those fan they are loud at full speed and push almost nothing.. I mean you spend alot of cash on this build.. 2 x 2080 ti threadripper and 3 big rad but those fan.....

Get a good fan with digital phanteks rgb halo.

  • 2 points

Going to give these a try...so far they are quiet and operating with no issues. On the backside of the radiators are Corsair SP120...so I believe I have more than enough air flow at low enough speeds to keep them quiet and get good heat dissipation. If the UpHere fans suck, I won’t be to worried about tossing them in favor of something else.
