Description

Hello there! This is my (kinda) first build. My goal was to have a PC that can render stuff in Sony Vegas but also do some gaming as well. The case is a piece of crap, so I'm planing to replace it with a lot better Corsair 200R. Also stock CPU cooler sounds like a 737 while taking off, so I'm planing to get Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo at the same time as the case. What do you guys think?

Part Reviews

CPU

Older CPU, but still kicks *** when budget is not the biggest.

Motherboard

Cheap, but pretty good motherboard for small budget.

Storage

Silent and pretty fast for it's price.

Power Supply

Really nice and solid PSU for 50 euros!

A nice gaming PC. I has the same GPU (In the 2GB version). Also, great job on your cable management. +1

Oh god... The cable management on that case is the worst thing... Even a cheap 2004 case has better management options than that crappy CM case...

What kind of performance do you get when gaming? I'm building a gaming PC with a 500 USD Budget.

Well, it all depends on games you play - CS:GO on max settings runs in about 200 frames, while in GTA 5 (CPU-bound game) I'm getting about 60 using medium-high settings. After some tweaking, you can get 60 fps at any game, pretty much. You can overclock CPU to 4 Ghz - 4.5 Ghz (you'll need an aftermarket cooler for that). And video card is overclockabe, too!

At the end that case doesn't have a window so the only time I can look at it is when I'm cleaning the pc :) . I'm planning to change that case in the future (probably 200r) since due to video card there is only 1 available HDD slot (and I like to experiment with variuos linux distros outside Virtualbox) and the power supply is sucking a lot of hot air right now (which can't be good).
