Description

My first build ever, wanted something to play games at a low price although I could have gone lower.

Made some edit's to the parts list to add the little stuff and to add what I already had.

Nice build. The AMD Phenom II x4 965 would have preformed better though and been cheaper.

Why did you only get one stick of RAM? 2x4 would have been better I think.

Ok makes sense. But 16GB of memeory is completely unnecessary, especially if you're using it for gaming.

i would have gone with a phenom x6 1045t, but a well rounded build overall

it wasn't until after I got the 4170 that I figured out the fx series wasn't much of a jump ahead of the phenom II's, more like a side step. I just hope the next group of cpu's are good or else an intel will be in my next build

I would suggest upgrading to a new piledriver cpu once they are released, they should be a nice increase in performance from bulldozer, and since they will also use the am3+ socket, you wont need a new motherboard

I'm looking into getting this CPU for gaming, recording & video gaming. How is it doing for you. I'm on a budget, so that'd why I'm not going Intel.

I'm looking at this CPU or the more expensive I7-3770, but I'll be playing Guild Wars 2. I really want the most bang for my buck. Since GW2 is CPU intensive I've been wondering what to get. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/SoraKeys/saved/1jCL Any advice would be great, it'll be my first build.
