Decided to upgrade from the Lenovo Y500 which I been using for the past 3 years. This PC will be mainly used for gaming and other day to day use. So far it's great, it handles every game I throw at it with awesome fps. And upgrading to 144hz was definitely worth the money.

Part Reviews

CPU Cooler

Well worth the money, I'm glad that I followed everyone's advice and got the 212 Evo. Installation can be a little tricky for a first timer but everything worked great afterward.

Has some great little features that just make me love this MB, good amount of fan plugs on the top of the board and overclocking the CPU was a breeze with the Asus bio.

Donno what to say about the's just ram. No issue with installation and overclocking it to 3000mhz was easy.

Awesome SSD, no issue with it so far and the boot time is simply amazing.

Video Card

Love this card, it handles every game I play while keeping the noise down. The triple fans on this card definitely keep the temp down under have load.

This is a 10/10 case for me, personally i choose this case because of its airflow design and the large side window. Plenty of room to work with even with a ATX MB, 212 Evo and a triple fan GPU. My only issue was that the hard drive cage had to be moved in order to install my PSU, and afterward it can't be put back to it's original spot so it had to come out of the bottom cover a little bit.

Power Supply

Everything worked as intended and you'll have plenty of spare cables for future use. Can't go wrong with EVGA PSU, especially with the 10 year warranty.

Case Fan

I installed this on my 212 Evo with a push pull setup, it works and looks great. My only complaint was that the LED light wasn't covered on the outside of the fans.

Color can be a little washed out but that's to be expected with a 1ms 144hz TN panel. But at a similar price point as the BenQ XL2411Z and Asus VG248QE (older version of this monitor), you can't go wrong with this. It also comes with FreeSync so you can take advantage of it if you have a AMD GPU.

Good choice on the case, looks really good cable management wise, +1! Would've gone with a 1440p monitor though. =P

Just finished mounting my monitors and did more cable management, check it out :)

I thought about going up to 1440p but a 144hz 1440p monitor is a little out of my budget.
