Description

My buddy helped me build my first gaming PC after college when I sold my 27" iMac.

It has since been updated, but these were the original parts of the build.

Really cool to see old parts shiny and new.

You wouldn't want to see it now, haha. I'm currently considering my options on how to empty out the dust/fur from the PSU...

I thought it was pretty self explanatory seeing as I put the date in the title, but oh well.

I loved my 2600k, it was almost as fast as my 7700k, overclocked. I had the same MB and HDD too in my 1st REAL build.

When this was originally built in 2011 (and when the photos were taken), I was living in a student house with carpeted floors and that was the only place the PC could sit. It has since been turned around!

I have since upgraded this build (1060, 16GB of RAM, CPU cooler, SSD) but I found some photos and thought I'd share my initial build. I'll be adding a few more builds in the next little bit as I've finally decided to start posting on the site instead of just lurking.

I definitely agree about the 2nd gen Intel chips though - this 2600k has been nothing short of amazing for me. Thanks for the kind words!
