Description

I saved up the money to buy these parts for a few months, and finally was able to order them last week. I bought the 1500x and Asus motherboard from Micro Center as a combo deal. The PC runs great and all of my games are running at ultra settings 60 fps on 1080p. The 1060 3gb is amazing, and I wouldn't spend the 50 dollars more for a 6gb version right now. The performance difference is minimal, and for 1080p the 3gb is doing great right now. The thermaltake versa h15 proved to be difficult at times, but what can you expect from a cheap case.

Part Reviews

CPU

This CPU is amazing, and even with it's core clock of 3.5 GHz, it runs wonderfully. I haven't yet attempted an overclock with the stock cooler, but that's on my list of things to do.

Motherboard

Great motherboard, lots of features that make this a mid-higher end motherboard for a non-premium price. Also, it's micro ATX which made it easy for me to fit into my case.

Memory

Great quality memory, not much else to say.

Video Card

This card is AMAZING for 1080p gaming. Playing games like Tom Clancy's The Division, this game has no problems on ultra @ 60 fps.

Case

The quality of this case is great, I just had many issues with cable management, as many of the holes used to route wires were covered when I installed my mATX motherboard.

You should've gone for an rx570 instead of the 3gb 1060

Couldn't find one for a good price, the 1060 does everything I need it to anyway.

Great build and sweet budget! I can see that you got your money's worth in this build. Is there any OC'ing in your future?.

Yes, I haven't had much time to sit down and work on that recently, but I plan to!

Hi, would this PC be able to run grand strategy games such as Total War (Warhammer) and Hearts of Iron almost flawlessly?

Yes, should run 60+ fps on highest detail settings for both of those games.

Looks good. If you have any extra money to spend I'd get an SSD. They're really helpful.

Are you having any issues updating the BIOS on your PRIME B350M-A motherboard?
