Description

Here we go for our 2nd submission, just wait few seconds i take my sunglasses :)

It's a friend's build, constructed by Gaming Lab (high end division of Prodimex SA)

It's a unique production with the limited case Inwin H Frame 2.0 (n°17/500) It was pretty hard to match the right yellow/ with fan/aio/psu/case

Nothing more to say, i let the pictures express by itself. You have the full part list with the price.

Cya for the G-LAB 003 ;)

Real nice work. Hard colour scheme, but you managed very nicely with those parts.

This is fantastic. The power, the theme, the execution of a smooth-looking system, it all comes together. I can easily see this being featured. The names "Xerxes" or "Midas" come to mind when looking at the gold, and the aggressively powerful yet articulate look this build has. Very impressed. +1

Thank you ;) Yes Xerxes would be a great name, nice idea ^

I just saw your GLAB 005 and it looks amazing. I found my way back to this build, and im very glad I did, because I've been trying to do a partial gold theme for my build as well, but I'm finding that its very hard to pull off true gold. I have NZXT Aer fans and Hue+ lighting, and it seems tough to simulate gold. also I painted the case frame gold and its hard to actually see that even with gold-ish light inside....any thoughts?

Yeah hard to find a nice gold color. The hardest i think is the white.... With a lot of brand this is not a true white, it's blueish...

You can check on the G LAB_002 https://pcpartpicker.com/b/w84qqs We choose In win Polaris for Gold. We tried, nzxt, corsair for the rgb fan but for us for the moment Polaris are the best for gold we think.

I do agree with white, NZXT's white is not white at all. Thanks for the insight, I'll have to keep the Polaris in mind. I'm using Hue+ and LEDs in addition to Aer 120mms, and I've found that by using a dark orangey brown color, the lights actually look like a pale gold which is quite aesthetically pleasing. I haven't been able to get the gold painted frame to stand out yet though, which is a shame. Only white seems to make it visible.

1 question and only 2 critiques:

  • Is the Inwin Power Supply specific to the D-Frame and H-Frame cases? as in it won't work with any other case and the case won't work with any other power supply?

  • Please connect that 4 pin EPS12V. 10 cores is power hungry enough to need it once you start OCing.

  • Personally would have substituted the Zotacs with STRIX cards, since the Zotac cards have absolutely terrible VRM temperatures.

Otherwise, Congrats on being one of the lucky few with this case!

  • This power supply don't fit on another case, too big :( And you ca't use standard PSU on this box :(

  • The 4 pin EPS 12v is connected, just miss the cable for the photoshoot

  • I love Asus cards but this zotac are awesome, very powerfull, don't have problems with the VRM temperature for the moment (cross fingers xD)

Thank you ;))

I can't stop gushing at how fantastic this is, I can see all the hard work and dedication it took. I'm sure you had your fair share of issues with the build as well. It looks like you worked through every single one. Flawless in my book. Fantastic work.

How did you connect the x52 on that motherboard, having trouble with mine as it won’t pump

Were the stock screws that came with the Polaris fans long enough to mount to the radiator, or did you have to grab different screws?

  • 1 point

This looks so good it almost looks photoshopped!! Awesome build.

I am considering an AIO for this case. How did you manage to mount the NZXT Kraken X52 vertically? Was it a result of some semi-custom or custom modding, or was it completed by using mounting pieces that came with the case or AIO?

Excellent build, by the way, and definitely one of the best cases around.

Regular mount. No modding at all.
