Description

Hey there! I'm 2K-Tan! I'm 17 years old and got all the money to build this PC for my 17th birthday!

I Have been into PC's for a very long time and have always wanted to build my own but always lacked the funds to do so. However I was finally able to through Birthday money!

Anyway I'm overall very happy with how my PC turned out and think it was worth every penny! I'm able to run almost all games i'm interested in at Ultra/High settings with the stock 3.2 GHz on the G3258! By far the Pentium is the weakest link in my system but I plan on upgrading to a LGA 1150 Core i5 for Christmas.

The only problems I had with this build is that I can't seem to achieve a stable CPU Overclock. This is most likely because I'm on an Intel B85 chipset even though my mobo supports overclocking.

One part I have in this PC that isn't listed is a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO that I bought from a friend for $9.00 and an old DVD ROM drive I had lying around.

This PC scores a 1164 On Novabench which is a pretty high score. My old PC I owned before I built this one only scored a 785 despite upgrades. A significant improvement!

You may be asking "What's with the PC's name?" Well, 2K-Tan is one of my favorite fictional characters that is a "anthropomorphism" of the Operating system Windows 2000, And since the case had Red LED light FX I thought "What does red represent....? Anger!" So 2K-Tan's "Vengeance" was born.

Temperatures are stellar and the 212 EVO does an excellent job of venting the Hot air away from the CPU. Your CPU will give you many years of excellent reliable service at the kinds of temperatures I'm getting.

Someone will probably ask "For a budget build why didn't you go AMD?" My answer to that is simple. You get what you pay for... I have never much cared for AMD CPU's or GPU's. I find them to be inefficient and have MUCH less performance than Intel CPU's. The Pentium G3258 actually effectively dismantles all comparable AMD Quad Core CPU's which are around the same price range. They are also much less power efficient and put out way more heat. Also due to the extremely high praise the Pentium G3258 recieved It was a no brainer for a long time Intel user such as myself.

Overall this PC is an excellent performer and I feel I will get many years of use out of her with much enjoyment.

Thanks for looking! - 2K-Tan <3

Polk Audio. They are a unpopular brand due to price lol.

Meh, I have multiple pairs of Klipsch ProMedia 2.1. I'll admit that $150 or more is steep for "PC speakers" but the quality is just impressive. Plus I spent about 13 years being a Logitech only person. Their price to performance ration is much steeper than anything else.

Yeah I like Logitech but I think they are recently declining in quality :/

Should have gone Intel with my Sidewinder build. Seems like even just an i3 or Pentium is at least on-par with my FX 8320.

I Haven't tested personally so i don't know from a personal standpoint. However Everything but the CPU easily passes the requirements, But if you Overclock the G3258 it appears to run fine.

MINIMUM SPECS

OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 Processor (AMD): AMD FX-6350 Processor (Intel): Core i5 6600K Memory: 8GB RAM Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon™ HD 7850 2GB Graphics card (NVIDIA): nVidia GeForce® GTX 660 2GB DirectX: 11.0 Compatible video card or equivalent Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection Hard-drive space: 50GB

Below is Battlefield 1 Gameplay with a G3258 overclocked to 4.0 GHz. Runs pretty well

So do think getting a better graphics card and maybe a better cpu would get you get maybe 15, maybe 25 frames higher?

The 950 for example is fine. But yes a new CPU would really increase frames compared to the G3258.

If you are upgrading to an i5, I recommend you the i5 4690k, the best for the money

If you are getting an i5 and dont want to buy a new motherboard too, the i5-4460 will do good for you. Of course an i5-4690k would be better but you would need a new motherboard capable of overclocking. +1

This, Lol. As someone who has had several AMD chips in the past, I couldn't agree more.
