Description

I always wanted to build my own pc some day. But was afraid of doing something wrong or buying wrong parts. Finally I had the budget so I said ''What the hell,Let's do this''. So I wrote down a plan for parts cause my budget was not that great. I believe I made quite a pc despite my budget.(My budget might seem cheap for you at this website but I live in Turkey so prices are 3x$ for us and thats pretty expensive)

For conclusion,I tried my best for this setup and this build entry. As I said I am from Turkey, pardon my english if I made some mistakes. Feel free to ask any question about my build or anything else cause I believe I have researched a lot while building my PC also I studied Computer Engineering for 2 years, that helped too :)
*(Remember that I will upgrade some parts in the future as I get more money)

*You might wanna consider cpu temps as non-official since I don't have a gpu plugged in to my case yet, once gpu is plugged I believe there will be some changes in cpu and sytem temperature.

Part Reviews

CPU

I wanted high end cpu.I could go for 5960k/x or something else but I build this pc for gaming and a lot of new games are not even using higher than 4 cores and 8 threads so it would be waste of money since 5960s are a lot more expensive and 6700k is all I expected and enough for me at this moment I don't even plan to overclock(yet!)

CPU Cooler

I was thinking of buying CM EVO 212 but with some research I learned that air cooler might not be enough for k series CPUs sometimes.Corsair product reviews was terrible and with my NZXT case I thought it would be good combination. It does its job,my cpu's idle temp is 25C and never goes above 55C at load.NZXT provides great control over your system and cpu cooler via CAM software so you can customize its rpm's and performance.

Motherboard

I didn't want to go for a full tower or mid tower case,I wanted it to be small and effective[and yes I considered mITX's air flow, attention to my case choice! :) ]. I believe this mo-bo is the way to go for mITX builds,it is cheaper than asus Z170I but I read some problems with asus mITX mo-bos.This motherboard has a WiFi and m.2 support.

Storage

I searched a lot for this ssd cause it has highest rates such as 560MB/s read and 530MB/s write. My SENPAI boots up in 2 seconds(OH GOD!)

Storage

Well its just for storage nothing special about it(it was cheap and I already had 1).

Video Card

MSI GTX 1070 GAMING X 8GB: Sooo I don't have this monster yet cause I am waiting for my next paycheck. gtx 1070 is the best gpu I can get with my budget but I searched for the best 1070 and figured msi's gaming series is the best one;provides best clock speeds(comes oc'd from factory) new generation twin frozr fans, nice metal backplate ,LED logo and fan case.I might change my decision to GAMING Z but people says that its not worth it.

Case

:YES! This not so little guy was a shock for me cause I was looking for corsair 240s but when I saw this little trooper I knew it was made for me! Comes with 2 pull 1 push fans(which is great air flow with the design of the case's inside) also it has white LED brand logo(its huge and aesthetic and another LED for motherboards I/O panel[for you to see cables in dark enviroment]).Best part about it it's PSU shroud that hides your PSU from your eyes, provides great aesthetic and more cable management area and thats where the LED brand logo is.I could talk more about it but you can read some nice articles from professionals.its just I loved it :)

Power Supply

Modular PSU would be nice but they were expensive as hell in my country so I had to go for this little guy,it is enough for me though.(Being not modular may cause some problem with mITX cases but not with nzxt manta since it is a curved model also provides great cable management)

Monitor

This is not a great monitor for gaming but if you want a great one you must pay more than 1000 dollars right? So I went for this nice 21.5 inch borderless IPS 5 ms screen I believe this screen gives you more than its price.Has 2 hdmi 1 vga support also 2x1W speakers

YAMETE SENPAI stop putting this huge GPU..........( i need to sleep )

Oooh, it looks pretty. I like the whole red theme, and I also like the closed liquid cooling loop. You are making me want to build a cheap and tiny mITX!

The GTX 1070 is so huge, but your case and board are so tiny! I bet it'll look funny when you get the GPU in. :3

What a great build! Hey quick question.. About this guy Corsair Force LE, Which is better

This guy "Corsair Force LE" or this guy "Kingston SSDNow KC400" ?

How both compare to this well-known guy "Samsung 850 PRO" ? Thanks

uhh This is difficult I know but imo corsair force LE>samsung evo>kingston. This is the speed chart : Corsair Force LE 560/530 Samsung 850 Pro 550/520 Kingston SSDNow 550/540(this is what kingston says but they are wrong, real benchmarks are 535/510) Also there is a price range samsung is the most expensive one between those 3 and corsair is the cheapest one so I think we have a winner! :) Corsair Force is the way to go! ;) (there is one more reason why I bought Corsair, all ssd's are upside down when I put them in my case and I am more of a visual guy so as you can see in pictures Corsair is most suitible ssd for nzxt manta imo)

The Force is not faster than the evo let alone the pro. Pure speed is not the only factor when comparing ssd's.

"The Force is not faster than the evo". Any link man? "Pure speed is not the only factor when comparing ssd's." Then what other factors that needed to compare SSD?

Can you give me any source that contains full information about SSD Benckmark's list, Peaks, Effective speed?

Would be very appreciated!

Great 1st build. Get another DIMM when you get a chance, you're only running single channel with one DIMM.

  • 1 point

Thx! :) I am thinking of Corsair Domination Platinum 16GBx2 but they are out of my budget at this moment my priority is GTX 1070. Also do you think it is stuck at 2133 beacuse I am using single channel?

  • 1 point

Dominator Platinums are really expensive. If parts cost so much more in Turkey, wouldn't you be better off spending a little less on RAM and putting the extra money toward the 1070?

  • 1 point

Yea thats what I said my priority is gtx 1070 at this moment dominator is next

  • 1 point

I understand. I guess I was asking why bother with DomPlats at all, but they are pretty nice looking, so I can understand seeing them as something to get in the future.

  • 1 point

You'd be better off just getting a match for what you've already got - 16GB is fine, and they have to match in a channel anyway. 2133 is standard speed on the 170 boards, to go higher you need to enable the XMP profile in the bios or MB utils.

Okay, it turns out I bought the wrong ram. My motherboard is not compatible with 1x8gb 2400 cl16 so I have to replace them now. I am so sad but it was my mistake , I did not cross check the motherboard compatibility.

Sadface! But better to know!

Yea I know but right now I can't use rams stock speed (2400mhz) without enabling XMP because it is not compatible with my motherboard and if I enable XMP it is also overclocking my CPU to 4.2 ghz so I don't want that . (the main thing is my motherboard supports 2400mhz without OC profile which means if I had the right RAM I could use its stock speed without XMP)

If you want Senpai to notice you, you must make Senpai yourself. You have finally been noticed by your Senpai.

Nice build, but as a not - You set your ram as the wrong color. Yours is red, not black.

  • 1 point

Yes! Senpai noticed me at last! :) btw I changed the ram you were right thx!

WTFH is with all of these red and black builds? Does nobody have any creativity to paint their builds?

  • 1 point

Actually I will add some custom paint job but that is a luxury so first thing first I need to finish computing parts :)

Nice pc. But the 5820k/6800k is a nice cpu too and it has 6cores. its more future proof but nice pc. i love it! 1+

That future-proof thing you mentioned is expensive af.

Dont forget their Mobo X99 2011/2011-v3

Dang. 6700k would be more than enough to run this entire universe

  1. it can be that is right but the 5820k is just 30$ more or so.

  2. There are good cheap x99 mobos

  3. Nope absolutly not. But i get what you want to say.

  1. 6700k is faster for gaming than 5820k

  2. There is no point buying cheap x99 mobo

  3. I can correct your English if you want :)
