Description

had all the parts in a different case for a while then i decided to water cool everything because i wanted to experement and i wasnt worried about ruining any of the internal componants so i thought i would give custom water cooling a try and i had a blast. i custom sleeved all of the cables myself and did all the tube bending also. the colors are black and neon green in the coolant and wiring so if you think of a good name let me know.

I just looked at this picture in a microscope. There is one frail braid on the cable to the psu. I now hate this build.

instant turnoff

It's not saying much but if PCPartPicker ever needs judges, I'm nominating you without hesitation AFTER you take you own advice that you've been so kind to share with others and touch up your own build. XD

Awesome build. Are they UV LEDs or just Purple? And how was the space for the watercooling in that case? I have one too and plan to try a custom loop next time I upgrade.

  • 2 points

Yeah they are cablemod rgb uv leds and they are awesome, space is actually pretty good! The top rad is a 360 slim rad and the front rad is a 240 slim, both from ek, it took some working to get it all to fit, it probably would have been easier with a smaller reservoir but I wanted to make it fit so I did. You could put a 360 on the front but you have to lose the drive trays

I will eventually, I'm not as comfortable with oc I haven't had a lot of time to do it but I'll get to it soon hopefully and learn all I can about it.

May I ask why you went with 1080p 60hz monitors with a 980 Ti???

  • 1 point

I had them before I really knew what I was buying. when I built the system the first time it was the first time I had ever built one so I was in way over my head. They are good monitors but I do wish I would have waited and gotten better when I had more money.

Great job bending the tubes! On my last build, I refused to use any 90° fittings. After plenty of profanity and wasted tubing, I decided I wasn't going to do it again.

  • 1 point

Haha I used a lot of tubing before I got it right. Bitwit kyle and jayztwocents had some really good tutorials that helped a ton

Nice Build! For a name I'm thinking something more "the Hulk" related.
I'm terrible at coming up with names but maybe, the Neon Hulk, or the Hulkputer, or the Gaming Hulk. If you want to stay with the Joker theme name it "Why so Serious" Alright that's about the end of my creativity for one day. haha

Great build. Super clean. One of the cleanest water cooled builds I have seen in a while. I normally don't go for these types of colors in a rig but you pulled it off flawlessly! Great job!

is that a ram water cooling block? looks amazing for sure !! i would call it something like "donatello's demise" since it reminds me of the teenage mutant ninja turtles and with the purple UV light it screams donatello !! great job with it and good luck overclocking

I'm actually planning basically building the same PC you are except with a less expensive processor and gtx 1070. What fluid is that? Also why did you get the hybrid 980 if you were just going to water cool it?

was the watercooling really 800?

  • 1 point

roughly, the check out price was 1200 but that included the fans and some other stuff, i ended up having to switch rads because the one that i wanted to put in was to big but i didn't include that in the price. i just low balled it because i didn't want to take the time to figure out the exact price. Water cooling isn't cheep.

Hi could you be more specific with the parts in the loop as I'm looking to water-cool in this case myself. Mainly the fluid, pump and reservoir please. Lovely build btw. Dunno if you've played World of Warcraft recently but maybe Fel for a name. That's was I was gonna call mine if I used a green theme!

Here's a quote of Wowpedia:

"Fel magic (also known as the language of chaos),[2][3] is a destructive form of magic often used by the members of the Burning Legion. It is demonic, entropic, chaotic and extremely volatile. Its use frequently results in the alteration of the individual, or corruption, which manifests as a physical transformation such as a change to an individual's eyes or skin color, or heavy genetic mutations. All of the Burning Legion carry the taint of fel magic within their very blood, allowing them to spread greater evil.[4]"
