This is my first PC, I sold my Xbox one and all my games and got $550 I then bought all my components used for a total of $520 CAD . I'm only 15 so I won't be upgrading for a while, Tell me what you think
Overall great build. I'm using a lot of the same/similar parts in my build actually.
Obviously, your budget allows what your budget allows, and I get that...but I think you'd be much happier with investing in a SSD - at least for the OS. If you can swing another $40 or so, you should be able to get one in the 120GB range - enough to cram Windows 10 on and still have room for installation files & some storage.
Also, personally I'd look into either moving the PC up onto your desk area or at least invest in some sort of stand/riser that can support the weight of your PC. Having your PC running on the carpeted ground is a big no-no (in my opinion).
Other than that, I think you have a nice, solid build. +1 for your first PC build!
This is all you need man! Steam account and only buy games at 50% off or more! No more expensive Xbox games lol I have so many games I've bought that I haven nt played yet but they were so cheap lol
Pc and carpet is a no no, spending $200 on a 1000w PSU if definite overkill, you could have got an RX 470 or RX480 with the money you could have saved on your power supply. Nonetheless, better than a console. Good stuff.
i spent $20 on the psu, i just put the full market value of the parts
Love it, gaming is starting to use more cores so the FX line is seeing new life with Vulkan and DX12
AMD 8 core and gaming, I like it. Console gaming will be a thing of the past and a word whispered in passing soon enough. You will undoubtedly lose and make some new gaming friends over this choice. Wise choice if you ask me. We have an Xbox One S in the house since Christmas for my oldest son who could care less about anything. It is great for a console but it cant even touch and 8350 and a good video card.
Should be a mITX build to be a Smurf lol
nice build i like it i just built one myself same cooler on it and i got a fx 8150 with 8 gig of ram and a nvida gtx 1050 ti oc im using the thermal take v2 i got a 120 gig ssd by san disk and a 2tb very cheep hdd 7200 rpm 16 mb cash
and the asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Motherboard and the psu is the one the one that came with the case
