Description

This is a (somewhat) budget pc for gaming that my friend asked me to build for him. He wanted something to get into the PC gaming community, and for the price I think it's pretty good. This was my second build so I was a bit nervous going in, but the build went without any hitches the performance is great. I was able to overclock the GPU slightly (~+130mhz), averaging around 70fps on high settings. Overall, I'm super happy with how the build turned out, although I may go back in eventually and see what I can do about cable management lol. Still waiting on the mouse and keyboard to come in but for now we're just using old ones that were lying around.

Part Reviews

Custom

This was really the only part I was unhappy with. One of the two strips didn't work at all. It was cheap so I guess that's to be expected, but still. Even so, the single strip is able to provide a solid amount of lighting for the tower, so it kind of worked out.

Nice, clean, and simple, and for less than 700? Not bad, not all good builds need high end expensive parts. Creations like these are proof our community is growing. +1

The main things I would upgrade would be to get a 1060 6gb for 50 bucks more, and more storage. Overall, impressive you were able to make this for under 700!

most likely getting an ssd soon and moving windows to there, and getting a faster hdd lol. thank you for the feedback!

This is sort of rough. Only a R3 1200, and not even taking advantage of fast ram? Plus not even a 7200 RPM. Before you go with aesthetics such as RGB and a nice case, get some higher quality parts bro.

thank you! and yeah I agree on the cables, space was a bit tight but I think I'll update this soon with the cpu cable moved. hopefully we can save up and get an ssd soon, that's what I did for my own build and it's a huge improvement from the hdd :)
