Description

UPDATE: 2/18/2016* I got the XFX 390, some RIING 140 fans. Im probably set for another 2-3 years. My wife just called the basement my sanctuary since this is where I spend my time when I want to be alone and I realized all the things I love is in here. PC, piano, bike, vape and my aquarium.

This build is obviously a low/mid tier build. It runs my 1600p screen just fine. My desk is an Ikea LInmon corner desk which cost about 85. I added a 3 more table tops. I probably spent about 150 for the whole desk which I think is awesome. its not the sturdiest but it def does the job.

ORIGINALLY POSTED 2 weeks before the updated ver So... It has been 2 years since I built my rig and Im getting ready to upgrade my GPU maybe in the middle of the year. Updated my case since my last one was too small for bigger cards (so to all new builders, REASEARCH!) I opted for a Enthoo Pro just because of its great cable management capabilites and cheap price. I think I did great except for the lighter blue colored SATA cables! I have 6 fans installed. Stock 200mm intake in front, 3 exhaust up top, replaced the rear with a blue 140mm fan and one for the HD cage. So far its more quiet than my last build which is pretty surprising.

I have a dinosaur for my monitors, but I cant see myself replacing them for now since its doing its job.

Although I dont plan to overclock, I installed a liquid cooler just for aesthetics. Got some braided extension cables which I think is a must if you want a clean look. So far I've spent almost $400 which is meh.

My rig's job is staysl the same - photo editing, games and pr0n!

How much did all of it together cost?

rjsam submitter 2 Builds 1 point 38 months ago

hmm not sure, i spent probably around 1800 since 2013 piecing it out 1 by 1. A lot of the components are salvaged from older builds.

Sweet build. Nice and clean. Nice choice on the klipsch promedia 2.1. Best pair of 2.1s you can buy.

+1 for the fellow roadie. Though dropping the frame bag would make you hella more aero and save 20 watts.

Also, dope pc.

Nice build and setup+1. I really like how you did your color scheme just the right amount of blue. Also how does the xfx r9 390 perform.
