Hey, I'm 14, I'm a freshman in high school and I built my second PC. I did have a prebuilt that I upgraded everything in besides the PSU and case. But I have a 1440p 144hz monitor now and I needed a new PC. I've had it for about 4 Years but I decided to build a new one this year so I am going to overview the parts and why I have picked them. BTW if u want to see my old part list its right here. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/ColinHirosky/saved/Y3YKBm
Let's get to the point
CPU - Ryzen 5 1600x
I went with this CPU because you can't really beat 6 cores and 12 threads for $135, At the time I bought this thing on black Friday, the Ryzen 7 1700x was $150 and that was what I was originally going for but when I clicked place order, I got an error saying the product was out of stock, the next option was to go with the R5 1600x for $135, it stays cool at 30 degrees on the CPU on idle and goes to about the mid 30s to low 40s when is under load (which is fortnite lmao).
Cooler - Cryorig M9
I used it for my other PC and its quiet, I have to say Cryorig coolers are much more premium than Cooler Master coolers.
MOBO - MSI B350M Bazooka
Reading reviews online about this motherboard made me buy it, they are mostly positive and it has caused me no problems yet. The motherboard does have some white backlight behind it and it gives more flair to the PC so I like it. The XMP preloaded profiles are a nice edition.
RAM - XPG GAMMIX D10
It looks cool, black heat spreader, chrome accents. Well its RAM, pretty simple unless you get the overpriced RGB sticks which in my opinion are a waste of money.
Storage - Kingston SSD and WD HDD
I use the SSD for the OS, main programs, and drivers. I use the HDD for games and recordings from Geforce experience and OBS. The temps on both don't really leave the 20s
GPU - GTX 1070
Since I have the 1440p 144hz monitor, I need a GPU that can push the pixels. The 1070 is perfect for it, Since I play CSGO, Overwatch, and Fortnite, I exceed 144fps in all of them which is a good thing, and if they do drop, G-Sync on the monitor can help out a lot. The temps are 40 degress idle and around 70 degress load.
Case - NZXT H400
I've always wanted a Micro ATX case, they are easy to transport and I don't have limitations on what I can put in it. I did not want to go with the "i" model because it is overpriced. I don't think a fan controller and a single light strip should cost $50 more when I can get 3 Fan, 2 light strips and a fan controller for $30-$40 on amazon.
PSU - EVGA BQ 600w 80+ Bronze
This PSU is great, its Semi-modular, its not loud, its perfect, but all good things have to come to a halt sometimes. For my RGB fans that I bought, the controller needs a molex cable. And EVGA shipped me 3 Sata cables and 1 VGA cable. There were supposed to be 2 Sata cables. 1 Molex cable, and 1 VGA cable. I have contacted EVGA but they are not taking support until after the holiday so I ordered a Sata to molex cable off amazon so that will hold me off until EVGA gets back to me.
$40 RGB Fans and light strips
These things look sick, they are legit the same things as the NZXT and Corsair RGB fans but does not use software
Thank you for looking at this, it means a lot to me. I'm going to shamelessly plug my twitch in right here https://www.twitch.tv/sirdab_ I'm almost at 50 followers and I'm close to getting a subscribe button.
I do not want to say this mouse is bad its just we are not ready for wireless yet. We have multiple 2.4ghz devices in our life rn, our phones, speakers, headsets, routers, and even our coffee makers. So when you have all of these devices are near this mouse, which btw is 2.4ghz, there is multiple racking issues. The first week of this mouse was fine and then i started to receive major tracking issues. Logitech's website suggested that I disable Bluetooth on my phone if it is close to me and move my router back about 2 meters away from the mouse and its receiver. I could not move my router back anymore because i tried that already and it only fixed it slightly. If you have limited devices that are 2.4ghz, then you should get this mouse, no cable does feel like freedom and you can move your mouse in many more angles. but it just dies not work for me.
