It's my first time building a PC and I must say it was a breeze.

I wanted something powerful enough for some gaming as well as computing since it's my main workstation. I also wanted something that looked nice with potential upgrades that wouldn't break the bank.

I'm really satisfied with how it turned out. Especially the case. I love the look, the quality, the dimensions, the features and the ease of build.

I'm gonna play with the overclock a bit but already 3.7GHz without effort was nice. I get 90+ average fps in Rise of the Tomb Raider with all settings maxed out. Cinebench score : 1229

Part Reviews

Very powerful cheap little CPU. 86 degrees under load at 3.7GHz without trying to push it. 12 threads is more than enough.

Nice board. Plenty connectors for everything, looks nice and not too expensive.

Managed to get it pretty cheap (relatively considered). Does what it says on the package.

Crazy fast ! It's my first SSD and the ease of install and speed makes it all worth every penny.

Lot of space. Not super expansive.

Video Card

Haven't played with it a lot yet but it seems to be a nice performer. Looks nice and color neutral. What more do you want ?

Great case. Definitely my favorite part of this build.

I love the look and the build quality. It was also really easy to work with. All the cables pretty much went directly where they should. The Velcro ties are really useful. It's pretty compact while still being spacious enough to fit pretty much anything but a custom loop. I strongly recommend it to anyone.

My only wish is that it would come with 3 preinstalled fans instead of one.

Power Supply

Black cables, semi-modular. It's a PSU that won't break the bank and still look decent.

Case Fan

Pretty quiet yet seems to move a lot of air. Sleeved cables are nice. The rubber things to install them look a bit odd, but hey, it works.

Looks good man. One little thing though, you are running a touch warm at 86c. The max for those is 95, and a good load temp is between 70-80c with the stock cooler. So your not too far over, but may want to invest in a cooler upgrade to help out anyway. That’s just me though I guess, I get a little paranoid with temps lol.

Thanks ! I already had the H7 in mind, but to be fair I never use 100% CPU, so this really is the worst case scenario.

I really like this build.

Thanks ! I invested a lot of time in planning it.

I am trying to build a pc and I am wondering where you learned to put your pc together? Also, how did you get the money to do this??? Lmao, I am broke... I will probably do a similar build to this cuz I really like the parts, I think they go very well together. Great job man ;) keep it up!

I watched a lot of Youtubers, namely Linus Tech Tips, JayzTwoCents, HardwareCanucks, Paul's Hardware and Bitwit. After that it's just reading the motherboard manual and being logical.

I am now broke too ;) I put everything I had on this. Just save a bit over time and you'll be fine.

I'm very satisfied how it turned out. The only part I cheaped out a bit was the GPU as it's an easy upgrade and I still get 90+ fps in Rise of the Tomb Rider with every setting maxed out. I wanted a build pretty neutral with red accents so I was extra careful to get black fans and a PSU with black cables.

That case is amazing to work with, looks great and doen't cost too much (depending on your budget). It's also pretty compact which I like since I wasn't planning to do a custom loop or have optical drives anyway.

Thanks man ! It's nice to see that people like it ! I'll wait to see your build soon !

I am super excited to build my computer but I have NO I dea of the parts yet.... I only have about $115 dollars right now but i’m going to sell my 4 year old gaming computer and get money for Christmas. With that I should have st least $600 or more and hopefully gpu prices will go down.

Nice to finally see an rx 580 for the first time in a while! +1

I got lucky with the prices. If not I would probably have bought a 1060. But I wanted Freesync for my next monitor.

Spoomels 1 point 18 months ago

I thought the P300 was supposed to cost $59?

Taroxi 1 point 18 months ago

OP's prices are in CAD not usd.

RAM working at its full capacity? or did you OC it to make it work?

alsimoneau submitter 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

I had to enable XMP but it got to 2933 without a hitch

Johnj95 1 point 8 months ago

Does the RAM work well/is it compatible? I plan on buying the same model, but it is not on the QVL list.

alsimoneau submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 months ago

I had no problems with it. Overclocked to 2933 simply by activating XMP.
