Description

This was a build out of vanity mostly, not necessity. I just went with things I felt had good value and solid overclockability. This led me to some decent performance so far.

The worst thing about the build was the i7-7700K, it was an over heating pile. Though, a rockit88 delidding tool and some liquid ultra turned it into a great overclocking specimen. I am still pushing more every day, but I eventually stop and play some insanely modded Skyrim and get distracted.

Other than that, it has been easy assembly and a good looking one at that. I could tidy things up a little more, but I don't feel ashamed of it, so enjoy it, internet you sweet *******!

Also, got number 1152/1337

If you got a cool special edition case like that you have to upload pics of it! You gotta use the rival 300 hyperbeast mouse too haha

I have corrected my error, thanks for pointing it out lol. I wish i had all of the hyper beast swag, but most of it is of the m4a1 hyper beast, that is different.

What number did you get on the case

good build, but cable management is atrocious, but the fans are FAN-tastic,

Man, I really like these Hyper Beast cases. That rear fan though, you should put it the other way around so the air will be coming out your case instead of into it. Why did you install the NZXT pump like that shouldn't the "NZXT" be horizontal? And I think it will slightly improve your cable management as the pump cables won't be covering the RAMs. Also too many stickers, I personally think they ruin the case with their random colours and designs. Those were just my 2 cents, be free to say otherwise. I see that you delidded your 7700K, how did it affect your overall temps? Could you put some numbers? Thanks man, cool build!

no such as thing as too many stickers. you do know that stickers give a 10 FPS boost and 5° drop per sticker?

That's where you're wrong, kiddo. They have to be fire decals, otherwise they wouldn't work. Also you need to install a spoiler for them CUDAPOWAAAAAAAAA!!!

the rear fan is faced the way it is to create positive case pressure, so that it vents out all of the cracks and perforated parts. My temps used to go straight to thermal throttling at 100c if i ran aida64, like, instantly. after delid, stays under 75c. And I have always enjoyed case badging, and had a unique opportunity with the way the case is designed, so i went with it. still undecided, but its ok. nothing in a PC is set in stone.

Having the rear fan as intake is fine, but a filter will help go a long way to keep out dust.

As you have seen in your builds, the issue with all AIOs is the damn hoses are always too long/bow out towards the case window. I did try the horizontal orientation and it looked really aweful. I may have different standards though, but I would rather it lay off to the side close to the board and tie it in with other cables, than have it lay across a fan. Stickers, that's just a personal thing I guess.

As for the delid, that worked out pretty well, I will put up some comparison pics eventually when I have the time to format it nicely. Long story short, before delid, 4.8ghz overclock on water would go into thermal throttle instantly upon starting aida64. after delid, it doesnt get over 80c. That is the only reason I did it. In stock configuration, it was literally unusable as a K sku CPU.

I believe that you are doing yourself, or anyone you build a pc for, a disservice if you do not delid a Kaby Lake CPU, it was literal garbage under the heat spreader. 10/10 worst TIM I have ever touched. basically flaked off like a croissant.
