That's an awesome build! Such a simple, clean, and good looking set up as well. I thought this was more akin to a college dorm room, but prison cell works too!

I really dig the case!

I feel you. For the longest time, I had my old rig set up in my bedroom room. I was in grad school and living with my parents and just didn't have a lot of space. I swore that once I moved out (I'm in a townhouse with a few friends) I would take my sleep hygiene seriously and keep electronics out of my bedroom. It's done wonders for my sleep.

Really nice setup + great build

Nice build, I just did one using the Killer SLI/ac and P400S and loved them both. I didn't think I would get into the RGB thing, but the case comes with the LED strip so I had to use it.

You might be able to squeeze another 120mm fan on the front for a little more intake, but the PSU box blocks some of the airflow here so I'm not sure how much it will help.

Any reason you didn't use the M.2 slot for your ssd since they are pretty close in price now?

Great setup, you are ready to rock now.

At the time I started this build I had a different board that didnt have m.2 support, But i plan on upgrading soon.

Beautiful and clean +1, 3 monitors 3 different calibrations is only thing that bothers me.

May I ask, did you research 1070 vs 1080 and what make you decide on 1070 after all?

  • 2 points

Okay so I started out with a 1060, but my friend needed a gpu during the mining issue so i sold him the 1060 and went with a 1070 because it was only 370 at the time. Otherwise would've gotten a 1080. Now im waiting for the next generation of gpus before I upgrade.

Nice build. Questions: Where did you get white psu cables ? You painted bottom part and 4 blinders next to radiator?

  • 1 point

White cables from phanteks, and no I ordered the all white case and they sent me this one :/ but it turned out nice, also I think the case they sent me was the special edition or something along those lines, because I cant find the black and white psu shroud.

Great build! I'm going with the same Motherboard and RAM combination for Ryzen

Easily hits 2933, haven't had much lock any higher though.

Did you manually overclock it or use XMP profile?

  • 1 point

I'm pretty sure you have negative air pressure in your case cuz 2 intakes and 3 exhausts

  • 1 point

He can set set the Exhausts to a lower RPM, the Intakes to a higher RPM or both.

You are very correct xD I have been to lazy to fix it, because my temps are still good max load cpu sits at 61 and gpu 57, so i think ill be okay.

  • 1 point

no its not about temps, its that it makes your PC a vacuum for air, so air will try to get in any crack it can, thus dust will get into your pc a lot easier

Oh I see then Ill swap them around, Di8dnt take that into consideration.

i mean its nbd if you dont mind cleaning out your parts once in a while with compressed air and such, but its convenient if its positive

+1 for the theme. Whats the desk you are using?

  • 1 point

Custom built, but its really simple to do just some 2x4s and a piece of ply wood. Legs got from ikea for like 6 a piece and they are adjustable

Sick build! One question though, is the 450 psu enough? Anyways great build +1!

For my over clocks so far yes, max watt output is 380 I plan on getting a higher rated unit eventually as to were this was my first one for a lower speced system, only 26 bucks so I picked it up.

Really cool build, man. How's your memory doing with the motherboard? I'm thinking of getting both with also the Ryzen 7 1700.

  • 1 point

The memory I was able to get to 2933 with just the xmp profile, but I cant push it any higher for some reason, but 2933 is more then enough performance gains for me.
