Ok so first off I'd like to thank this awesome site for teaching me the ins and outs of pc hardware and definitely expanding my knowledge. This build is to be used as an HTPC/ Backup computer for now, but will later be sold. The retail for this build is $450 and i purchased everything (as you can see from my price list) for $311. Windows 10 was also a gift from a friend for building his pc. Now lets get into the details of the build and how i came across purchasing these parts.
I purchased this from a friend in my tech class for $20.01 (had to outbid another classmate lol). He has this extra board because he bought this instead of an am3+ board. The only reason i went with fm2+ was simply because of cost and the deal was right in front of my face since this is a really solid board (retails around $100)
Video Card/ Ram
Being in a tech class everyone is part of the master race and one of my other friends had an extra card from an upgrade and I purchased this for $50. He already has 4 sticks of ram in his rig so he gave me a free stick with this. Both for $50 was a steal
I purchased this from one last classmate for $10. Id probably go with this or the 500w even if i didnt get it used
PSU AND VIDEO CARD WERE USED BUT FOR ONLY ABOUT A MONTH OR TWO
Unfortunately this part is the thing I was most skeptical about. I payed $50 with free shipping and I feel like I could've gotten for less given the fact that I see them go lower but oh well. For a simple build like this I definitely recommend however the mobo screws on top were the biggest pain in the ***. More than any other case I've ever used. Also the cpu cable was udder hell too. If I were to chose again I'd choose this or nzxt 210.
This is the best bang for buck cpu in my opinion that still runs games on fm2+ so I got it. I could've waited to buy this since they drop to $70 All the time but what evs
I wanted tons of space for music and software so I got this drive. I only trust WD and Hitachi for hdds so 1tb more in space for $10 more over wd makes this Hitachi drive a steal.
Wireless Card- Got in case of wireless use
Let me know how this is in the comments, feedback helps and in case I messed up on anything. Pictures are taken at 6000x4000 resolution so hopefully they look nice on the site. Enjoy my build and thanks!
