Description

Built from used parts for resale. I have not dressed this up with lighting or extra fans etc. Mainer's a cheap SOB's and just want to pay as cheap as possible. The buyer can pay to dress up if they want.

4790k: $250 bought originally to play with OC using my Ghetto water cooling set up (see previous builds) Temps were great on the WC but just horrible on stock cooler (90+ on stress test). Will think about getting a cooler.

MOBO: Got this and a G3258 for $100. Sold the CPU for $40. Great looking and performing MOBO

RAM: Paid $20 for 16GB. Nice.

SSD: This was purchase d new. I will always buy this SSD for resale unless a customer wants to pay for the EVO. Crystal Mark tests have it very close to the EVO unlike every other budget SSD.

HDD: Found in the case I bought used. Arranged to pay $25 after the rig sells.

Case: Sold this last year in a build. Bought it back. So far I have bought back all of these parts except the CPU/Mobo which I still may buy back. This is a good looking case but TBH, now that I have over 20 builds completed, there are much better cases out there for the $$.

PSU: Also bought back with the case. This is rated 9.5/10 by JohnnyGuru.com (well the same model in a slightly higher wattage).

GPU: Missing?? I am holding out here. I am going to try to sell without GPU to give the buyer a choice. They can get any number of great GPU either used or wait for the RX480 GTX 1060 to come in stock. Or they may choose high end 1070/1080. Or maybe this will just be a photo/video editing machine. If it does not sell in good time, I'll look at 970/980/1060/RX480 and get the best bang for buck.

I may even keep this and sell my current 6600k rig if I can get a free upgrade :)

Quality components for this budget, damn! +1 because I'm a cheap SOB who likes to craigslist component shop too hehe.

Thanks. I used my Nikon d3200 DSLR with a 55mm micro lens I got for $60 in mint condition.

How did you use that MSI gaming series sticker? :P (A ****** commenting)

just a regular sticker badge. Ironically, the first time I built up the case, I used the MSI badge, and the second time I happened to also have the MSI MOBO so worked out great :)

Nice! I'm also thinking of downgrading from my Skylake i5 to a Haswell i5 by flipping it on Craigslist.
