So I decided this year that after 5years it was time to upgrade my PC. Before I would do light gaming and just buy small upgrades and I was always behind. I wanted to dump Console gaming and have a rig that I could play new AAA titles and do my photo editing on the side.
Originally my goal was a total on $800 and reuse my GTX 1060. After I hit that mark originally, I wasn't happy with it. I decided I wanted to go to 1440p vs 1080p gaming. So I returned my PSU/Monitor I originally bought and I purchased a lightly used GTx 1080 from a good friend and a 1440p monitor.
I purchased everything from Micro Center except my GTX 1080 which I got for only $300. This was a fun to do and over the course of 2 weeks. and happy with all my benchmarks etc.
Thanks to some of the people here that made recommendations on the forums.
