Description

Gaming and Streaming build mainly. Case was quite nice to work with, took a little work to get the fans and radiator mounted properly in the front but otherwise pretty straight forward. Updated the parts list with the price's I bought the components at, sorry some were originally $0.00, the wife used the list as a shopping list for me. Love this build and look forward to picking up a cheap 780 Ti and another power supply along with Windows 10 for an upgrade later this year.

It's nice when a build costs you no more than $20

it was a fun build, not complicated at all and was super easy to route everything the way i wanted. can make a really nice test bench with all the panels off as well, super gravy parts swaps being able to remove the motherboard tray.

yea sorry, wife was using it a present guide and wanted me to mark off what I had so she didn't buy double parts, not that I'd complain about extra parts. lol.

Hey uhhm, this is maybe weird to ask here but, i am new into Gaming PC's i know other things link the CPU and i build one already. But i want a gaming pc. Just all the good parts for less then 200 euro's. One of you guys think thats possible? Please contact me.

Honestly for a gaming build, you'll spend over 200 euros. Rule of thumb is you should spend double on your GPU as you do on your CPU and you buy complimentary parts to finish it off.

Wife was using the list as a present guide and made me mark off purchased items so she didn't rebuy any parts.

When I was selecting parts it was top of the line, then they released the 9 series. Not a big deal considering the superclocked 780 Ti is a little stronger than the stock 980, the big thing with the 9 series was the price drop and power savings.

9 series are great over clockers. A lot more powerful as the 970 is nearly equal with 780.

Wonder why they skipped 8?

Is there any reason you used a 4770k rather than a 4790k? And are you planning to expand? Because that PSU is complete overkill for this build

760w is perfect for a build like this, it will last ages and you get loads of upgrade room.

For this build currently. I understand having upgrade room can be nice.

Went with the 4770k because when i purchased the first round of parts the 4790k wasn't released yet. Another EVGA superclocked 780 Ti is SLI but a psu upgrade will happen with it.

Ok, that makes more sense now

67% capacity at load is not complete overkill - it's in a good spot of the efficiency curve for power supplies, which typically peaks around 50%. Not fully loading the power supply helps it last.
