Description

Hello This is my first PC . I built it because I wanted to get into the PC master race and just have a personal computer all to myself.

Part Reviews

CPU

This is an amazing CPU no lag and fast processing I would recommend this to any one for a work computer or a gaming computer due to the 4 cores that help out greatly with modern games. Not to mention the overclock potential !

CPU Cooler

Its amazing so far keeping the cpu at normal temps.... The software is pretty good . It is like every other corsair watercolor pretty much although one of the fans was non spinning apon opening so i had to mess with it for a while to get it to work . But WARNING dont touch the fan on performance mode while spinning it sliced my finger and i belive drew blood XD.

Motherboard

It is definitely a above average mobo but installing the software is a pain hint to anyone buying it you have to look through hardware files till you find a install wizard for it and if you cant find it there good luck finding it on the website. Otherwise its a great mobo with great features making it a real competitor to other mobos at its price range

Memory

Great really fast ram . Although one stick did not regester so i took it out and put it in another slot .. works great

Storage

A decent SSD for the price range its pretty good

Case

It is a nice simple case with decent cable management I would recommend this to a first time builder. The internal withe placement for stuff like the power button was a pain , forcing me to leave out a few screws on my water coolers radiator.

Power Supply

A preatty good psu has lots of cables lol

Case Fan

It is a decent fan with ok RPM the thing that annoys me is theres no arrows indicating airflow direction and the colors and speed are controlled by a remote you have to open the case to access . I wish they used software.

Then you should have just purchased a "K" less processor to save more.

Nice! Which gpu are you targeting? Any issues with heat exhausting inwards?

Thanks ! I am looking at something between a 970 and a 1080 , I probably will go with a 970 or a 1070 , Heat wise its doing pretty good , all around the computer is around 25-30 degrees Celsius and the CPU around 20 degrees Celsius. As for the exhaust fans they are doing okay at exhaust although only time will tell :)

Have you conscidered 1060? The 1060 will be fine if you're just doing 1080p gaming. I know a 330$ (USD) one that is RGB, I think it'll fit in with Chroma :)

Before I get a GPU, I plan on playing , Counter strike , rocket league , Ark , Sakura clickers ...Games that are fun but are not that demanding

How is the BIOS on the MOBO is it easy or very hard. I am new to computers and i was looking for a MOBO with ez pz BIOS? Thank you!!

  • 1 point

Yes , The bios are very easy , BUT The software setup is very hard frankly , and you are going to have to have a bit of computer knowledge and programming knowledge to find the software . Overall it is a good motherboared and if you do decide to get the mobo i would be happy to walk you through the software setup ... Keep in mind it is not 100% necessary to getting it running though so you should be ok without me its only if you want access to all the features . I just don't want you to go through the same pain as I did . I hoped i helped

Minus the overclocking (I wont do it). So just to clarify, the software is after the os installation right?

  • 1 point

Yea , The software built in to the mobo is very annoying to get working right but after that it works like a charm .

  • 1 point

ok I might not use the software though

Its just the lighting software ... other wise yes it is a great board , simple to use the onily REAL problem is the case audio depending on what case you get the audio on it might not be compatible with the mother board even if it is not you can still use the audio from the back of the PC

Ya know, there is a Thermaltake fan series that uses software and the controller doesn’t have to be inside i would put it through a nook or cranny in the case. Maybe a vent hole.
